So far this is the most committed project of David Lagos. The result of his perennial artistic concern and knowledge, Cantes del silencio is the fourth solo work by the Jerez-born cantaor. Not only record, but also scenic. And it has a sense of commitment as a premise, both in form and substance.

In this show, David Lagos experiments with a new musical, sonorous and expressive language based on the traditional forms of cante, but this time he elaborates it on a narrative background. To do so, it has relied on the script by the historian and anthropologist Miguel González Fustegueras. The work was premiered on September 11 at the Seville Biennial and will soon be published as a record.

Espacio Expoflamenco will host the visit of David Lagos to tell us the details of his Cantes del silencio in the company of Lola Vallespí, of El Soniquete de Lola, responsible for the production.
