{"id":5184,"date":"2026-02-22T09:10:54","date_gmt":"2026-02-22T08:10:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/expoflamenco.com\/revista\/?p=5184"},"modified":"2026-02-22T09:12:39","modified_gmt":"2026-02-22T08:12:39","slug":"santiago-lara-veinticinco-anos-despues","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/expoflamenco.com\/revista\/santiago-lara-veinticinco-anos-despues\/","title":{"rendered":"Santiago Lara, veinticinco a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s","gt_translate_keys":[{"key":"rendered","format":"text"}]},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Fue el a\u00f1o de la Expo\u201992 cuando inici\u00f3 sus estudios el concertista y compositor <strong>Santiago Lara<\/strong> (Jerez de la Frontera, 1984), consiguiendo en septiembre de 1999 el primer premio del Concurso de J\u00f3venes Valores de la Guitarra Flamenca que por aquellas calendas organizaba la admirada <strong>Pe\u00f1a Flamenca Los Cern\u00edcalos<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Ser\u00eda un a\u00f1o despu\u00e9s, en octubre de 2000, cuando reclam\u00f3 la atenci\u00f3n de todos los p\u00fablicos al lograr el primer premio del I<strong>II Concurso de J\u00f3venes Int\u00e9rpretes de la Bienal de Flamenco Ciudad de Sevilla<\/strong>, reconocimiento que le permiti\u00f3 marcar un antes y un despu\u00e9s en su carrera art\u00edstica.<\/p>\n<p>Cinco lustros despu\u00e9s, conforta que en su propia tierra Lara se presente con <strong><em>Solo guitarra<\/em><\/strong>, un concierto que, dedicado al reciente fallecido <strong>Juan Blanco<\/strong>, m\u00e1nager que lo fue de <strong>Manolo Sanl\u00facar, Jos\u00e9 Antonio Rodr\u00edguez<\/strong> o <strong>Vicente Amigo<\/strong> entre los muchos, el instrumentista concibe desde el \u00edncipit \u2013l\u00e9ase principio\u2013 como un todo el recurso t\u00e9cnico al servicio de la expresi\u00f3n honda, y el lirismo po\u00e9tico y de contenido emocional, m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de est\u00e9ticas, modas o vanguardias.<\/p>\n<p>Su singular estilo y la personal\u00edsima forma de interpretar su repertorio se enfatiz\u00f3 desde <strong>la grana\u00edna, ejecutada desde una actitud est\u00e9tica<\/strong>, para proseguir con la farruca, convenientemente analizada, y apuntando a nuevos y amplios horizontes, m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de modas pasajeras.<\/p>\n<p>Nos situ\u00e1bamos ante <strong>un concierto de melod\u00edas perfectamente definidas<\/strong>, con una muy clara definici\u00f3n de los temas, sin subterfugios emocionales, y sobre una l\u00ednea de acordes muy propia de quien conoce a conciencia la interacci\u00f3n de notas, con una ejecuci\u00f3n verdaderamente cuidada en la taranta que estren\u00f3 anoche y en la m\u00e1s que interesante transcripci\u00f3n que hizo de <strong><em>El vito<\/em><\/strong>, en la que puso de relieve los matices m\u00e1s sutiles y refinados.<\/p>\n<p>Mas la propuesta de Lara, ora contenida ora desbordada, queda persistentemente al servicio de la emoci\u00f3n, como en la malague\u00f1a con una inesperada introducci\u00f3n del <em>Adagio<\/em> de <strong>Albinoni<\/strong>, en la que constat\u00f3 c\u00f3mo viendo interpretarla se transmite no s\u00f3lo con las manos, tambi\u00e9n con la gestualidad, conformando en conjunto un placer est\u00e9tico de la mayor consideraci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u00abSantiago Lara ha ofrecido en su tierra natal su madurez plena merced a una obra profundamente sugestiva, suscitando emoci\u00f3n, y que ha gozado del favor del p\u00fablico. Foto: @Festival de Jerez &#8211; Rina Srabonian<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>El guitarrista descubri\u00f3 sus secretos con la contundencia de la seguiriya de estreno<\/strong>, de la que hizo una soberbia ejecuci\u00f3n plena de vivacidad y hondura, al tiempo que disfrutada con la brillantez y transparencia del zapateado, del violinista <strong>Pablo Sarasate<\/strong> y tan complejo para guitarra, o la alternativa estimulante de la buler\u00eda, dejando como \u201cbis\u201d el collage compositivo de <em>Maestr\u00eda<\/em>, que Lara dedica al maestro Manolo Sanl\u00facar y donde la mano derecha volaba materialmente sobre el cordaje sin perder en ning\u00fan momento la intrincada musicalidad de un concertista excelso en capacidad de comunicaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Mas al sentido l\u00edrico del que hace gala el compositor, a\u00f1adimos la sugestiva expresividad que distingue su inspirada obra propia, en la que, a m\u00e1s de desmenuzar los cambios tonales, sobresale el cromatismo y las audacias r\u00edtmicas que contienen sus compases, que los desgrana con una facilidad asombrosa.<\/p>\n<p>Mismamente Santiago Lara dej\u00f3 patente en sus contenidos su plena identificaci\u00f3n con la personalidad guitarr\u00edstica y musical de quien, en su propia tierra, ha evidenciado un grado de madurez plausible en todos los territorios.<\/p>\n<p>Otro a\u00f1adido del concierto es la variedad tem\u00e1tica, sus melod\u00edas enigm\u00e1ticas en curioso di\u00e1logo con los desplazamientos de la mano izquierda en el diapas\u00f3n, a lo que el cr\u00edtico suma la yuxtaposici\u00f3n mel\u00f3dica central y el especial sentido que el instrumentista confiere a los extremos, ofreciendo en todo momento seguridad de pulsaci\u00f3n, autoridad musical y dominio en la ejecuci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Rese\u00f1ar, por \u00faltimo, que de lo que antecede podemos colegir que <strong>hemos encontrado al compositor y guitarrista en estado de gracia<\/strong>, con suficiente aportaci\u00f3n y demostrando en todo momento una l\u00ednea creativa a cuantas respuestas estil\u00edstica planteaba.<\/p>\n<p>Santiago Lara ha visto reconocido, en consecuencia, que 25 a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s ha ofrecido en su tierra natal su madurez plena merced a una obra profundamente sugestiva, suscitando emoci\u00f3n, y que ha gozado del favor del p\u00fablico, a juzgar por el sonoro y largo aplauso que le rindi\u00f3.
