S\u00ed, s\u00e9 que les sonar\u00e1 raro porque discrepo bastante de los postulados mairenistas, pero en esto estoy de acuerdo. Un cantaor de Alosno tiene que saber y hasta oler al paisaje de aquellas tierras de encinas, jara, aguardientes y tradiciones. No puede oler a Pamplona, \u00bfverdad? Ni un natural de\u00a0<strong>Curro Romero<\/strong>\u00a0a Pontevedra.<\/p>\n<p>El mismo Antonio Mairena sonaba a su pueblo en determinados cantes, pero tambi\u00e9n a Alcal\u00e1, Jerez, Utrera, Lebrija, los Puertos o Triana. Hay un caso de una voz gitana que sonaba solo a C\u00e1diz: la de\u00a0<strong>Antonia Gilabert Vargas, La Perla<\/strong>, de quien el d\u00eda 9 de este mismo mes de junio se van a cumplir cien a\u00f1os de su nacimiento en el Barrio de Santa Mar\u00eda de la Tacita. Esta mujer era puro sabor a C\u00e1diz, el cante gaditano sin injerencias for\u00e1neas,\u00a0<strong>limpio, luminoso como un amanecer en la Caleta<\/strong>\u00a0y siempre ajustado al comp\u00e1s m\u00e1s perfecto de la zona.<\/p>\n<p>Era yo solo un adolescente cuando muri\u00f3 (1975), y sent\u00ed en la espalda el tornisc\u00f3n helado de su marcha tan temprana. A la\u00a0<strong>Ni\u00f1a de los Peines<\/strong>\u00a0le gust\u00f3 m\u00e1s\u00a0<strong>la Paquera<\/strong>, pero dijo una vez de la Perla que era \u201cun buchito de agua salada de la Tacita\u201d. Vas a C\u00e1diz y nada m\u00e1s entrar abres una ventana del coche, te llega una brisa marinera y se te vienen a la mente los cantes de\u00a0<strong>Aurelio, Manolo Vargas, Peric\u00f3n<\/strong>\u00a0y la Perla. Sabr\u00edas que est\u00e1s en C\u00e1diz aunque llevaras los ojos vendados.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u00abNadie que quiera cantar al estilo de C\u00e1diz puede saltarse a la hija de Rosa la Papera, porque correr\u00eda el riesgo de no ser considerado un cantaor aut\u00e9ntico o una cantaora genuina y fiel a estos sabores y olores\u00bb<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Si no pasara esto, este milagro de pureza, podr\u00edas estar en cualquier parte del mundo menos en ese rinc\u00f3n \u00fanico, C\u00e1diz, la olla donde se cocieron los elementos musicales y las esencias que propiciaron la creaci\u00f3n de lo jondo. La Perla fue\u00a0<strong>la depositaria de aquellos primeros sabores y esencias del cante gaditano<\/strong>, cuando ni siquiera se llamaba jondo o flamenco, que eso vendr\u00eda mucho m\u00e1s tarde.<\/p>\n<p>La Perla no fue una cantaora enciclop\u00e9dica como la Ni\u00f1a de los Peines, pero no le hizo falta dejar una obra tan basta para quedar en la historia y ser referencia de genios, como do\u00f1a Pastora Pav\u00f3n y Cruz. Nadie que quiera cantar al estilo de C\u00e1diz puede saltarse a la hija de\u00a0<strong>Rosa la Papera<\/strong>, porque correr\u00eda el riesgo de no ser considerado un cantaor aut\u00e9ntico o una cantaora genuina y fiel a estos sabores y olores.<\/p>\n<p>Ir ma\u00f1ana a C\u00e1diz a hablar de ella, de tan admirada maestra del cante gaditano, es un verdadero privilegio. Y una enorme responsabilidad, porque uno viene de otras tierras, aunque haya en mis ra\u00edces familiares aromas
