Los ni\u00f1os bailaores suelen ser efectistas, por su elasticidad y frescura. Tuve alguna amistad con <strong>Enrique el Cojo<\/strong>, quien me dijo una ma\u00f1ana en su academia de la calle Esp\u00edritu Santo de Sevilla: \u201cTendr\u00e9 un siglo y seguir\u00e9 bailando, porque s\u00e9 envejecer\u201d. El maestro extreme\u00f1o, aunque sevillano de adopci\u00f3n y coraz\u00f3n, no solo supo envejecer sino vencer su cojera para poder bailar, su gran pasi\u00f3n. Desarroll\u00f3 una calidad de brazos incre\u00edble, que supo transmitir a <strong>Cristina Hoyos<\/strong> y otras grandes bailaoras sevillanas. No se pod\u00eda tener m\u00e1s arte.<\/p>\n<p>Hoy mismo he visto bailar por buler\u00edas a una bailaora actual, de las veteranas, y he sufrido porque me he dado cuenta de que quiere bailar como lo hac\u00eda hace cuarenta a\u00f1os, y eso es imposible. Quien tiene la fuerza la usa \u2013ocurre tambi\u00e9n en el cante y el toque\u2013, pero a los setenta a\u00f1os no se puede patear el escenario. Es que, adem\u00e1s, el baile en Sevilla es, sobre todo el femenino, sensualidad y braceo elegante, nunca saltos ni zapatazos. <strong>Matilde Coral<\/strong> supo envejecer, como tambi\u00e9n <strong>Merche Esmeralda<\/strong> o <strong>Pepa Montes<\/strong>. Son destacadas representantes de la escuela sevillana, unas bailaoras elegantes, de braceos armoniosos y movimientos nada atl\u00e9ticos.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u00abTuve la suerte de ver bailar a Pilar L\u00f3pez en Ronda con casi noventa a\u00f1os y no recuerdo haber visto nunca algo parecido. No dio ni un zapatazo y dibuj\u00f3 en el aire cosas hermos\u00edsimas, como si tuviera los pinceles de Vel\u00e1zquez en las manos\u00bb<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Cuando una bailaora tiene <strong>entre cincuenta y setenta a\u00f1os no puede bailar como cuando ten\u00eda treinta. Imposible.<\/strong> Suele pasar que recurren al teatro y a la ojana, cuando podr\u00edan bailar mejor incluso que con treinta a\u00f1os. Se puede bailar con arte sentada en una silla, solo moviendo los brazos y los m\u00fasculos de la cara. El arte puede habitar en una mirada o en un gesto y no tiene nada que ver con el atletismo. Pongo un ejemplo: un cantaor tiene unas facultades enormes con treinta a\u00f1os y lleva la voz al l\u00edmite. Basa su cante en la fuerza y cuando la pierde, cuando merma el fuelle, no le queda nada. Cuando no hay arte, algo innato, la fuerza es solo fuerza y exhibicionismo, nada m\u00e1s.<\/p>\n<p>Tuve la suerte de ver bailar a <strong>Pilar L\u00f3pez<\/strong> en Ronda con casi noventa a\u00f1os y no recuerdo haber visto nunca algo parecido. No dio ni un zapatazo y dibuj\u00f3 en el aire cosas hermos\u00edsimas, como si tuviera los pinceles de <strong>Vel\u00e1zquez<\/strong> en las manos. All\u00ed estaban Matilde Coral y <strong>Blanca del Rey<\/strong>, que no respiraron nada mientras bailaba la gran maestra. Do\u00f1a Pilar supo envejecer en el baile y nunca recurri\u00f3 al teatro o la ojana, que es casi lo mismo. Ella, Pilar, me cont\u00f3 en C\u00f3rdoba que una noche vio bailar a <strong>la Malena<\/strong> en la cama, solo moviendo los brazos y los ojos, y que se tuvo que ir a una habitaci\u00f3n de al lado a llorar.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false,"gt_translate_keys":[{"key":"rendered","format":"html"}]},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cuando una bailaora tiene entre cincuenta y setenta a\u00f1os no puede bailar como cuando ten\u00eda treinta.
