{"id":4291,"date":"2016-04-20T17:16:38","date_gmt":"2016-04-20T17:16:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.expoflamenco.com\/archivo\/?p=4291"},"modified":"2020-06-10T10:59:10","modified_gmt":"2020-06-10T08:59:10","slug":"mairena-y-camaron","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/expoflamenco.com\/archivo\/blog-archivo\/mairena-y-camaron\/","title":{"rendered":"Mairena y Camar\u00f3n"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Un d\u00eda tuve un enfrentamiento con el ya ausente\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.expoflamenco.com\/archivo\/opinion-archivo\/nos-consuela-su-luz-a-miguel-acal\">Miguel Acal Jim\u00e9nez<\/a>, el conocido cr\u00edtico de flamenco \u2013mi maestro y gran amigo, por cierto\u2013, porque en una tertulia radiof\u00f3nica celebrada en Sevilla dijo que\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.expoflamenco.net\/single-post\/2017\/06\/18\/%E2%80%8B-Un-cuarto-de-siglo-sin-Camar%C3%B3n\">Camar\u00f3n<\/a>\u00a0fue disc\u00edpulo de\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.expoflamenco.net\/#!Hablando-de-cante-con-Mairena\/c112t\/5760d1d50cf29542aa289730\">Mairena<\/a>\u00a0y le rebat\u00ed su afirmaci\u00f3n. El genio de la Isla de San Fernando era una esponja, un cantaor que bebi\u00f3 de muchos otros cantaores y de otras cantaoras, aunque todo lo pas\u00f3 por el prodigioso tamiz de su garganta y su manera de concebir el cante jondo. Nunca lo he relacionado con Mairena porque, sinceramente, creo que no era de su mundo, que eran muy distintos.<\/p>\n<p>Obviamente, el gran cantaor mairenero influy\u00f3 en muchos otros cantaores de la Generaci\u00f3n de <strong>Camar\u00f3n de la Isla<\/strong>, porque a partir de ser condecorado con la tercera\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.expoflamenco.net\/#!%C2%BFVuelve-lo-de-la-Llave-del-Cante\/c112t\/563987c60cf275e9c596a72e\">Llave de Oro del Cante<\/a>\u00a0en C\u00f3rdoba, en 1962, se convirti\u00f3 en una de las principales referencias.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.expoflamenco.net\/#!El-a%C3%B1o-de-Juan-Valderrama\/c112t\/560dd5620cf2a7bb74c22e90\">Valderrama<\/a>\u00a0lleg\u00f3 a decirme que \u201cMairena nos mand\u00f3 a todos al garaje\u201d, as\u00ed, en seco. Y fue verdad. No es que fuera mejor que\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.expoflamenco.net\/#!Manolo-Caracol\/c112t\/5670b1be0cf274f69813e76e\">Caracol<\/a>\u00a0o\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.expoflamenco.net\/#!Aquel-jilguero-de-Marchena\/c112t\/5661105c0cf25333685e0a03\">Marchena<\/a>, pero le lleg\u00f3 su momento y supo coger la vara de mando para controlarlo todo. Le pregunt\u00e9 un d\u00eda que si estaba al tanto de lo que grababan todos los cantaores j\u00f3venes y me dijo que s\u00ed, que era su obligaci\u00f3n. Los cantaores, adem\u00e1s, se encargaban de llevarles sus discos dedicados. Algunos incluso les llevaban las maquetas para que el maestro los orientara, sin necesidad de dar nombres.<\/p>\n<p>Camar\u00f3n jam\u00e1s hizo eso, que yo sepa. Admir\u00f3 siempre a Mairena y lo quer\u00eda mucho, y el maestro de los Alcores siempre vio en \u00e9l a un revolucionario gitano, de la nueva hornada, desde que acudi\u00f3 al Concurso de Cante Jondo de Mairena y enamor\u00f3 a todos con su frescura gitana, en 1966, conquistando el premio de los cantes festeros. Se dice que el propio Mairena influy\u00f3 bastante en el jurado, en el que por cierto estaban\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.expoflamenco.net\/single-post\/2017\/01\/26\/Centenario-de-Ricardo-Molina\">Ricardo Molina<\/a>\u00a0y\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.expoflamenco.net\/#!Juan-Talega-y-Diego-del-Gastor\/c112t\/56ef6b400cf276e9de24fd1a\">Juan Talega<\/a>, dos grandes amigos del maestro. Existe la grabaci\u00f3n de la actuaci\u00f3n de Camar\u00f3n aquella noche y es innegable que apuntaba ya maneras, a\u00fan con un claro apego al clasicismo.<\/p>\n<p>Con el paso del tiempo, <strong>Jos\u00e9 Monje Cruz<\/strong> fue derivando a otras maneras y s\u00e9 de buena tinta que Mairena no compart\u00eda del todo esa nueva l\u00ednea de cante, aunque siempre fue respetuoso con el isle\u00f1o. De los nuevos cantaores, el que de verdad le gustaba a Mairena era\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.expoflamenco.net\/#!Un-dolor-llamado-Morente\/c112t\/5665034b0cf203d325ed5a96\">Enrique Morente<\/a>, sobre todo en sus principios. De hecho, cuando le preguntaron una vez por los futuros maestros, cit\u00f3 solo al granadino, destacando su inteligencia en las innovaciones, lo que no les gust\u00f3 nada a\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.expoflamenco.net\/single-post\/2017\/04\/20\/Honores-a-Menese-en-Guadalajara\">Jos\u00e9 Menese<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.expoflamenco.net\/#!El-abuelo-y-Juan-Pe%C3%B1a-El-Lebrijano\/c112t\/578855aa0cf28653c964403e\">Lebrijano<\/a>\u00a0y otros disc\u00edpulos de Antonio.<\/p>\n<p>Camar\u00f3n no era de la escuela mairenera, eso est\u00e1 claro, lo que no quita que admirara al maestro gitano y que alguna vez buceara en su obra para buscar matices y orientarse sobre algunos palos b\u00e1sicos, como hicieron todos. Como hizo el propio Mairena con la\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.expoflamenco.net\/#!Cuarenta-y-seis-a%C3%B1os-sin-Pastora\/c112t\/565548780cf2a1cf6d1811d5\">Ni\u00f1a de los Peines<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.expoflamenco.net\/#!Aquel-genial-Ni%C3%B1o-de-Torres\/c112t\/5785bdb80cf2e25833791608\">Manuel Torres<\/a>\u00a0o Juan Talega. No ha habido un solo cantaor en la historia del cante que haya salido con un estilo totalmente nuevo, que no tuviera la influencia de cantaores o cantaoras anteriores. Ni siquiera el m\u00e1s personal de las \u00faltimas d\u00e9cadas, como fue Camar\u00f3n. No habl\u00e9 muchas veces con \u00e9l, solo dos o tres, las justas para descubrir que era un gran aficionado, y una verdadera esponja. Solo hay que repasar su extensa obra para comprobar que fue capaz de aprender de casi todos, bordando con hilo de oro fandangos de El Rubio,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.expoflamenco.net\/single-post\/2016\/05\/17\/Un-cantaor-de-cantaores\">Antonio el de la Calz\u00e1<\/a>, el Gloria, Juan el Camas o Morente, y hasta de incorporar tonos morentistas en las seguiriyas.
