No todos han acabado crey\u00e9ndose Dios, pero ha habido algunos casos que son dignos de ser analizados en\u00a0<em>Cuarto milenio<\/em>. No hay entrevistas de\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.expoflamenco.net\/#!Silverio-y-la-desmemoriada-Sevilla\/c112t\/5626e3090cf2c6c64380ea3b\">Silverio Franconetti<\/a><\/strong>, declaraciones suyas en la prensa, pero se sabe que fue de los primeros en endiosarse, quiz\u00e1s porque fue la primera gran estrella del cante flamenco. Eso de ir por los pueblos y las ciudades de Andaluc\u00eda retando a otros cantaores, como se dice que hac\u00eda, era un signo de endiosamiento, de pedanter\u00eda, de egolatr\u00eda. Sol\u00eda decir tambi\u00e9n que era el mejor, y \u201cdespu\u00e9s de m\u00ed, Curro Durse\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u00bfSe imaginan que\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.expoflamenco.net\/#!Paco-de-Lucia-Light-and-Shade\/c112t\/55f74ed90cf20cc524a8ee8e\">Paco de Luc\u00eda<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0hubiera dicho alguna vez que era el mejor, y que despu\u00e9s de \u00e9l lo era\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.expoflamenco.net\/#!La-soledad-de-Manolo-Sanl%C3%BAcar\/c112t\/566a47510cf2391068765f14\">Manolo Sanl\u00facar<\/a><\/strong>? Imposible, porque Paco no fue nada soberbio. Tampoco\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.expoflamenco.net\/#!Un-dolor-llamado-Morente\/c112t\/5665034b0cf203d325ed5a96\">Enrique Morente<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0dijo jam\u00e1s algo que pudiera denotar engreimiento. Ni\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.expoflamenco.net\/single-post\/2017\/06\/18\/%E2%80%8B-Un-cuarto-de-siglo-sin-Camar%C3%B3n\">Camar\u00f3n de la Isla<\/a><\/strong>, uno de los genios m\u00e1s sencillos que han existido. En cambio,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.expoflamenco.net\/#!Aquel-jilguero-de-Marchena\/c112t\/5661105c0cf25333685e0a03\">Marchena<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.expoflamenco.net\/#!Manolo-Caracol\/c112t\/5670b1be0cf274f69813e76e\">Caracol<\/a>\u00a0y\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.expoflamenco.net\/#!Hablando-de-cante-con-Mairena\/c112t\/5760d1d50cf29542aa289730\">Mairena<\/a>\u00a0eran tres eg\u00f3latras empedernidos, casi enfermizos. Ah\u00ed est\u00e1n sus entrevistas tanto en prensa como en radio. A nadie se le ha ocurrido, que me conste, analizar esas entrevistas para realizar un perfil de cada uno e intentar averiguar la verdadera personalidad de estos tres fen\u00f3menos del cante.<\/p>\n<p>Recuerdo ahora, porque se acaba de marchar, cuando\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.expoflamenco.net\/#!%C2%BFQu%C3%A9-se-ha-llevado-Agujetas\/c112t\/56805d8b0cf23a10fe36da2a\">Manuel Agujetas<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0declar\u00f3 que los \u00fanicos cantaores de verdad que quedaban eran \u00e9l y\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.expoflamenco.net\/#!So%C3%B1ando-con-El-Chocolate\/c112t\/567771680cf203da56e68612\">Chocolate<\/a><\/strong>. Lo dec\u00eda convencido, con sinceridad, porque lo pensaba de verdad. <strong>Pepe Marchena<\/strong> fue quiz\u00e1s el que m\u00e1s se endios\u00f3 de todos, llegando a decir que hab\u00eda vestido al cante de etiqueta y que le hab\u00eda dado una categor\u00eda que nunca tuvo, d\u00e1ndoles una bofetada sin manos a\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.expoflamenco.net\/#!Antonio-Chac%C3%B3n\/c112t\/56771a790cf28854b38dc92e\">Chac\u00f3n<\/a>\u00a0o a\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.expoflamenco.net\/#!Cuarenta-y-seis-a%C3%B1os-sin-Pastora\/c112t\/565548780cf2a1cf6d1811d5\">Pastora Pav\u00f3n<\/a>, que ya cantaban en los teatros de Espa\u00f1a antes de que Marchena respirara. Es m\u00e1s, el Maestro de Maestros lleg\u00f3 a decir que antes de que \u00e9l llegara, el cante era algo de \u201cbaja estofa\u201d. Lo de Maestro de Maestros no se lo puso \u00e9l mismo, sino el c\u00e9lebre periodista <strong>Bobi Deglan\u00e9<\/strong>, aunque a Marchena le gust\u00f3 la etiqueta y la utilizaba con frecuencia. <strong>Antonio Mairena<\/strong> acab\u00f3 crey\u00e9ndose incluso m\u00e1s importante que Dios, un elegido por los dioses para salvar al cante gitano-andaluz de la conspiraci\u00f3n\u00a0<em>gach\u00e9<\/em>. Eso dijo el maestro gitano cuando le dieron la Llave de Oro del Cante en C\u00f3rdoba, algo que \u00e9l consider\u00f3 como un mandato de los grandes maestros gitanos ya ausentes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pastora Pav\u00f3n<\/strong>, en cambio, aun sabi\u00e9ndose la m\u00e1s grande, que lo fue, nunca hizo alarde de endiosamiento. Una vez le preguntaron que qu\u00e9 hab\u00eda aportado y dijo que la cerveza con az\u00facar, porque cuando era muy jovencita alguien le dio una cerveza y, al comprobar que amargaba, le ech\u00f3 az\u00facar antes de beb\u00e9rsela. Sin embargo, en otra ocasi\u00f3n asegur\u00f3 que no se pasaba a la canci\u00f3n por no acabar con la carrera de las grandes cupletistas de la \u00e9poca. Su hermano\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.expoflamenco.net\/#!El-abuelo-recuerda-a-Tom%C3%A1s-Pav%C3%B3n\/c112t\/56ef66b60cf276e9de24fb4d\">Tom\u00e1s<\/a>, uno de los genios de la historia del cante, era de una sencillez incre\u00edble, aunque, seg\u00fan me cont\u00f3 un d\u00eda su cu\u00f1ada <strong>Elo\u00edsa Alb\u00e9niz<\/strong>, la esposa de su hermano\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.expoflamenco.net\/#!Arturo-Pav%C3%B3n-un-cantaor-de-armas-tomar\/c112t\/570b0d5f0cf21d11795676f4\">Arturo<\/a>, lleg\u00f3 a decirle a\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.expoflamenco.net\/#!Aquel-genial-Ni%C3%B1o-de-Torres\/c112t\/5785bdb80cf2e25833791608\">Manuel Torres<\/a>\u00a0en una fiesta: \u201cT\u00fa ser\u00e1s Dios, pero yo doy siempre los veinte reales del duro\u201d. Se lo dir\u00eda, seguramente, por la conocida irregularidad del genio jerezano, quien unas veces lograba que se partieran la camisa con su manera de cantar y otras cantaba para tirarlo a los cochinos.<\/p>\n<p>De los que yo he tenido la suerte de conocer bien, los dos genios m\u00e1s humildes han sido Enrique Morente y Camar\u00f3n. Jam\u00e1s les escuch\u00e9 alabarse ellos mismos, decir que eran grandes, aun si\u00e9ndolos. A lo mejor es que ambos supieron alguna vez lo que dijo <strong>Napole\u00f3n<\/strong> a este respecto. Que los sabios buscan la sabidur\u00eda y los necios creen haberla encontrado. Esto no lo digo por un famoso cantaor de ahora, quien asegura haber creado el flamenco del siglo XXI.
