Incluso, en su tiempo hizo avanzadilla en lo que hoy conocemos como Nuevo Flamenco con su <strong>Ni\u00f1o Jero y su banda<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Pedro Carrasco <strong>&#8216;Periqu\u00edn Ni\u00f1o Jero&#8217;<\/strong> (Jerez, 1954 \u2013 2023) alcanz\u00f3 con su guitarra unas cotas indescriptibles como manijero del ritmo flamenco y sus derivados. Una cualidad excepcional que se ha bautizado como el &#8216;soniquete de Jerez&#8217;. Ese aire inconfundible, muy arraigado en los barrios flamencos como el suyo de Santiago, que lo llev\u00f3 a ser un acompa\u00f1amiento ideal para grandes figuras coet\u00e1neas a su \u00e9poca.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Para este sencillo homenaje en su recuerdo he escogido su guitarra acompa\u00f1ando a <strong>Juan Villar<\/strong> por buler\u00edas y fandangos del disco <em>Ambor\u00e9<\/em> (Fods Records, 1998); tientos y tangos con <strong>Capullo de Jerez<\/strong> (VORS Jerez al cante, BBK 2012); un breve apunte de Ni\u00f1o Jero y su banda en forma de bossa nova \u2013 rumba (Senador, 1991) y un cabal acompa\u00f1amiento a <strong>T\u00edo Gregorio &#8216;El Borrico&#8217;<\/strong> en la Nueva Frontera del Cante de Jerez (RCA, 1973).
