{"id":4201,"date":"2017-03-03T16:23:31","date_gmt":"2017-03-03T16:23:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.expoflamenco.com\/archivo\/?p=4201"},"modified":"2019-04-14T16:00:53","modified_gmt":"2019-04-14T14:00:53","slug":"artistas-y-empresarios-flamencos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/expoflamenco.com\/archivo\/blog-archivo\/artistas-y-empresarios-flamencos\/","title":{"rendered":"Artistas y empresarios flamencos"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Jam\u00e1s se ha estudiado el hecho de c\u00f3mo determinados artistas flamencos hicieron algo m\u00e1s que cantar, bailar o tocar la guitarra. Se destaca siempre el papel en el \u00faltimo tercio del siglo XIX del cantaor y empresario sevillano\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.expoflamenco.net\/#!Silverio-y-la-desmemoriada-Sevilla\/c112t\/5626e3090cf2c6c64380ea3b\">Silverio Franconetti<\/a>, pero hubo muchos m\u00e1s. Incluso anteriores a \u00e9l. Recordemos la inmensa labor de algunos maestros boleros como <strong>Miguel<\/strong> y <strong>Manuel de la Barrera<\/strong>, quienes, como ya averiguamos hace alg\u00fan tiempo, no eran hermanos, aunque se haya escrito hasta la saciedad. Ambos tuvieron academias en Sevilla \u2013el sevillano Manuel de la Barrera, tambi\u00e9n en C\u00e1diz\u2013, y esas academias no eran solo escuelas para aprender a bailar, sino locales a los que la gente iba a disfrutar de los espect\u00e1culos, en los que por cierto se dieron a conocer algunos cantaores importantes como el propio Silverio, Jos\u00e9 Perea, Jos\u00e9 Lorente, Ram\u00f3n Sartorio, Juraco y Enrique Prado, entre otros.<\/p>\n<p>La iniciativa empresarial de los Barrera fue, pues, determinante para la profesionalizaci\u00f3n de los artistas y la difusi\u00f3n de lo que ya empezaba a parecerse a lo que luego fue el flamenco. Tambi\u00e9n Luis Botella Zurita era bolero, adem\u00e1s de director del Sal\u00f3n Recreo, en la calle Tarifa. Luis Botella, por cierto, era malague\u00f1o y no sevillano, lo mismo que Miguel de la Barrera, que naci\u00f3 en Antequera, donde ni siquiera lo saben. Otro artista hist\u00f3rico que se movi\u00f3 en esas lides fue Juan de Dios Dom\u00ednguez\u00a0<em>El Isle\u00f1o<\/em>, llegando a dirigir junto a su hijo, Juan de Dios Dom\u00ednguez Jim\u00e9nez, el Caf\u00e9 Filarm\u00f3nico de Sevilla, y \u00e9ste tuvo un caf\u00e9 flamenco en Huelva, siguiendo la estela de Silverio, que tambi\u00e9n lo tuvo alg\u00fan tiempo en esa ciudad.<\/p>\n<p>Fuera de Sevilla, es necesario destacar el papel que jug\u00f3 el cantaor gitano <strong>Juan Junquera<\/strong>, en colaboraci\u00f3n con su hermana Tomasa, artista tambi\u00e9n como \u00e9l. Junquera ten\u00eda el Caf\u00e9 de la Vera Cruz de Jerez, pero tampoco se conform\u00f3 con hacer esa labor en su tierra y tuvo un local flamenco en la localidad sevillana de Utrera, donde, entre otros, cant\u00f3\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.expoflamenco.net\/#!Antonio-Chac%C3%B3n\/c112t\/56771a790cf28854b38dc92e\">Don Antonio Chac\u00f3n<\/a>. Tambi\u00e9n dirigi\u00f3 alg\u00fan tiempo El Filarm\u00f3nico de Sevilla, uno de los m\u00e1s importantes de la capital andaluza, despu\u00e9s de El Burrero y el Sal\u00f3n Silverio.<\/p>\n<p>Es curioso, como he comentado en alguna ocasi\u00f3n, que haciendo Junquera lo mismo que Silverio, comerciar con el flamenco, todos los palos se los llevara el artista sevillano. Y recordemos que esa labor la llevaron a cabo los dos en una misma \u00e9poca, puesto que eran coet\u00e1neos. Labor fundamental, sin duda alguna, porque gracias a ellos debutaron muchos otros artistas como profesionales del cante, el baile y el toque, que luego hicieron historia. El guitarrista sanluque\u00f1o <strong>Paco el Barbero<\/strong>, de los m\u00e1s influyentes del XIX, tambi\u00e9n tuvo un tabanco flamenco en la sevillana calle Plata, la misma calle donde montaron academia unas d\u00e9cadas antes, Manuel de la Barrera y La Campanera. Adem\u00e1s, El Barbero mont\u00f3 academia de guitarra en Sevilla, en San Est\u00e9ban, luego fue tambi\u00e9n un artista flamenco con una clara visi\u00f3n para los negocios relacionados con el arte jondo.<\/p>\n<p>Ya en el siglo XX, la lista ser\u00eda interminable, con artistas como Pastora Imperio, que tuvo en Madrid el Tablao El Duende, con su yerno, el torero Gitanillo de Triana, o\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.expoflamenco.edit\/#!Manolo-Caracol\/c112t\/5670b1be0cf274f69813e76e\">Manolo Caracol<\/a>, que abri\u00f3 Los Canasteros en la calle Barbieri, tambi\u00e9n en la capital de Espa\u00f1a. Un estudio que est\u00e1 por hacer, aunque aportar\u00e9 muchos datos en mi libro sobre el flamenco del XIX en Sevilla, si es que soy capaz de acabarlo alguna vez. Artistas y tambi\u00e9n empresarios, personas que llevaron a cabo una enorme labor. \u00bfA cu\u00e1ntos artistas sac\u00f3 Caracol de Los Canasteros? \u00bfCu\u00e1ntos descubri\u00f3 Silverio en su aventura empresarial, primero como director de algunos locales y luego como due\u00f1o del \u00faltimo que tuvo, que fue en la sevillana calle Rosario, hasta poco antes de su muerte en 1889?
