En lo que a m\u00ed respecta, ni mucho menos es as\u00ed. Cuando hac\u00eda radio, en los ochenta, me criticaban al principio por ser excesivamente conservador y poco permisivo con las innovaciones. Luego empezaron a llamarme todo lo contrario, cuando empec\u00e9 a pinchar discos de\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.expoflamenco.net\/#!Un-dolor-llamado-Morente\/c112t\/5665034b0cf203d325ed5a96\">Morente<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.expoflamenco.net\/single-post\/2017\/06\/18\/%E2%80%8B-Un-cuarto-de-siglo-sin-Camar%C3%B3n\">Camar\u00f3n<\/a>\u00a0o\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.expoflamenco.net\/single-post\/2017\/01\/17\/Gerardo-N%C3%BA%C3%B1ez\">Gerardo N\u00fa\u00f1ez<\/a>, sus cosas m\u00e1s comerciales y pegadizas. \u201cEste se va a cargar el cante\u201d, dec\u00edan los puristas m\u00e1s rancios.<\/p>\n<p>Cuando hablamos de flamenco tradicional, \u00bfde qu\u00e9 hablamos en realidad? \u00bfQu\u00e9 es el flamenco tradicional y en qu\u00e9 \u00e9poca lo situamos? El flamenco no surgi\u00f3 una noche en una juerga, sino que fue un proceso seguramente de siglos. Aparece ya como tal, con los palos muy definidos, y gestado, a mediados del XIX. Digo gestado y no en estado de gestaci\u00f3n. Es decir, un arte acabado, aunque con la \u00faltima mano de barniz muy fresca a\u00fan. \u00bfAlguien puede haber pensado alguna vez que una seguiriya gitana o la cl\u00e1sica ca\u00f1a pudieron ser creadas por un genio en una noche de inspiraci\u00f3n?<\/p>\n<p>Todos los genios o avanzados han sido discutidos al principio de sus carreras. Y es hasta l\u00f3gico, por lo celos de los llamados puristas o cabales, quienes tienen miedo de que se pierda el cante cl\u00e1sico, esas formas que nos legaron los pioneros.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.expoflamenco.net\/#!Silverio-y-la-desmemoriada-Sevilla\/c112t\/5626e3090cf2c6c64380ea3b\">Silverio<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.expoflamenco.net\/#!Antonio-Chac%C3%B3n\/c112t\/56771a790cf28854b38dc92e\">Chac\u00f3n<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.expoflamenco.net\/#!Aquel-jilguero-de-Marchena\/c112t\/5661105c0cf25333685e0a03\">Marchena<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.expoflamenco.net\/#!Manolo-Caracol\/c112t\/5670b1be0cf274f69813e76e\">Caracol<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.expoflamenco.net\/#!El-a%C3%B1o-de-Juan-Valderrama\/c112t\/560dd5620cf2a7bb74c22e90\">Valderrama<\/a>, Morente y Camar\u00f3n fueron artistas muy discutidos por los aficionados. \u00bfEs hoy una malague\u00f1a de Chac\u00f3n una pieza cl\u00e1sica de un gran valor art\u00edstico y cultural? Claro que s\u00ed. Tan cl\u00e1sica y de tanto valor como cualquier pieza de Turina, Falla o T\u00e1rrega. Pues a Chac\u00f3n lo acribillaron por cantar esas \u201cmalague\u00f1itas\u201d en los caf\u00e9s de Sevilla.<\/p>\n<p>Todav\u00eda hay quienes piensan que una malague\u00f1a o un fandango son menos flamenco que una sole\u00e1 o unos tangos. \u00bfQui\u00e9n decidi\u00f3 esto en su momento, para que Lorca y Falla hicieran lo que hicieron en Granada en 1992: clasificar el valor de los palos del cante? Y despu\u00e9s de Granada, en los dem\u00e1s concursos. Todav\u00eda los hay donde pagan mejor una mala seguiriya que una buena malague\u00f1a o una taranta.<\/p>\n<p>El flamenco tradicional, o sea, el cl\u00e1sico, el que ha venido sobreviviendo en el tiempo contra viento y marea, es imprescindible en los grandes festivales nacionales e internacionales, porque proyectan este arte al mundo entero y el mundo quiere flamenco cl\u00e1sico. Los que vienen cada a\u00f1o a la Bienal de Sevilla o al Festival de Jerez no vienen a que les tomen el pelo con experimentos que han desaparecido a los tres d\u00edas del estreno. Vienen fundamentalmente a emocionarse con el flamenco tradicional porque no lo tienen en sus pa\u00edses de origen. Fusi\u00f3n, danza contempor\u00e1nea y rarezas, todas las del mundo y m\u00e1s. Flamenco de verdad, poco, por no decir nada.<\/p>\n<p>Quiero decir con esto que en la Bienal de Sevilla o en cualquier otro festival del mundo caben todas las corrientes y tendencias del flamenco, y siempre ha sido as\u00ed. Recuerdo haber visto a\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.expoflamenco.net\/single-post\/2017\/03\/14\/Lole-y-Manuel\">Lole y Manuel<\/a>\u00a0en los cl\u00e1sicos festivales de verano de los pueblos andaluces compartiendo cartel con\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.expoflamenco.net\/#!Fosforito\/c112t\/5674793c0cf203da56e4658c\">Fosforito<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.expoflamenco.net\/single-post\/2017\/04\/20\/Honores-a-Menese-en-Guadalajara\">Menese<\/a>\u00a0o\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.expoflamenco.net\/#!La-Paquera-de-Jerez\/c112t\/55f74acd0cf2de902a86840d\">La Paquera<\/a>. Y tambi\u00e9n recuerdo c\u00f3mo a\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.expoflamenco.net\/#!Pepa-Montes\/c112t\/5750ec860cf245cf719deb1a\">Pepa Montes<\/a>\u00a0y\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.expoflamenco.com\/archivo\/#!Ricardo-Mi%C3%B1o\/c112t\/578c426e0cf26df1ae592aa5\">Ricardo Mi\u00f1o<\/a>\u00a0les quitaban festivales por meter una caja en el cuadro.<\/p>\n<p>Lo que me parece fundamental es que festivales como la Bienal o el de las Minas est\u00e9n bien organizados. Refiri\u00e9ndome al festival sevillano, llamado festival de festivales, tengo que decir que en las \u00faltimas ediciones ha venido siendo un desastre, como un gran gazpacho en el que cab\u00eda de todo. Y en un festival de esta categor\u00eda y repercusi\u00f3n en el mundo no puede haber ninguna duda sobre si su programaci\u00f3n es o no de flamenco. Es que tiene que ser de flamenco, porque si no ser\u00eda una estafa al aficionado que viene desde tan lejos.<\/p>\n<p>El flamenco actual no tiene por qu\u00e9 ser del siglo XIX o de los a\u00f1os sesenta y setenta del pasado. Hoy hay un flamenco, el de esta etapa, y no podemos ignorarlo. Por tanto, para ir acabando, el secreto est\u00e1 en programar con talento, sin marginar el flamenco de otras \u00e9pocas, ese que se han convertido en cl\u00e1sico por algo, y lo nuevo que va surgiendo. Evolucionar s\u00ed, pero con talento y sin ojana.
