Previamente propuestos y preseleccionados por un comit\u00e9 de nominaci\u00f3n franco-espa\u00f1ol, los artistas han sido finalmente elegidos por un jurado voluntario que ha tenido en cuenta a creadores de todas las disciplinas que llevan a cabo sus acciones tanto en Espa\u00f1a como en Francia, as\u00ed como a nivel internacional. El premio ha sido otorgado a los artistas franceses <b>Eric Minh Cuong Castaing<\/b>, <b>Val\u00e9rie Mr\u00e9jen<\/b> y <b>Mohamed El Khatib,<\/b>&nbsp;al artista camerun\u00e9s residente en Francia <b>Barth\u00e9l\u00e9my Toguo<\/b> y a los artistas espa\u00f1oles <b>Basurama<\/b> y <b>Jos\u00e9 Su\u00e1rez \u2018El Torombo\u2019<\/b>. Cada uno de ellos recibir\u00e1 la dotaci\u00f3n de 30 000 euros como reconocimiento a su labor.<\/span><span class=\"s2\"><\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">La Fundaci\u00f3n inaugur\u00f3 este premio en 2020 como agradecimiento al compromiso ciudadano de aquellos artistas que trabajan para transformar los modelos establecidos mediante acciones destacables en respuesta a diferentes problem\u00e1ticas sociales. Los galardonados de la primera edici\u00f3n fueron los franceses <b>Ne\u00efl Beloufa<\/b> y <b>Patrick Bouchain<\/b> y los espa\u00f1oles <b>Cristina Pato<\/b>, <b>Santiago Cirugeda<\/b> y <b>Julio Jara<\/b>.<\/span><span class=\"s2\"><\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Las m\u00faltiples crisis que vivimos actualmente \u2013emergencia clim\u00e1tica, crisis sanitaria, debilitamiento de las democracias, etc.\u2013 han puesto de manifiesto las graves carencias y bloqueos que afectan a nuestro mundo y que reclaman con urgencia inspiraci\u00f3n para el cambio. Con el Premio Artista Comprometido se busca destacar la implicaci\u00f3n de los artistas como agentes de pleno derecho de la transici\u00f3n hacia sociedades m\u00e1s ecol\u00f3gicas, inclusivas y que permitan el desarrollo en plenitud. \u201cEl artista a menudo necesita dar sentido a lo que nos rodea, cultiva la empat\u00eda, promueve la democracia y apela a la responsabilidad social y medioambiental\u201d, apunta <b>Pepa Octavio de Toledo<\/b>, responsable de la l\u00ednea Arte Ciudadano en Espa\u00f1a. \u201cEl papel del artista puede ser determinante en un mundo con grandes desaf\u00edos y ser aquel que, con su imaginaci\u00f3n, nos ayude a poner en marcha futuros m\u00e1s sostenibles\u201d.<\/span><span class=\"s2\"><\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em><span class=\"s2\">\u00abEl Torombo, con su proyecto Fuera de serie, trabaja con j\u00f3venes en situaciones desfavorecidas para demostrarles que pueden sobreponerse a su propio contexto y que el arte es un importante motor de cambio para ello\u00bb<\/span><\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Son muchas las iniciativas que se materializan gracias a artistas que abren su campo de trabajo a \u00e1mbitos como el social, la educaci\u00f3n, el medioambiente o la econom\u00eda social y solidaria. Este Premio se inscribe entre las acciones de apoyo a figuras que conciben su obra en di\u00e1logo con la sociedad y buscando, justamente, tener impacto social. M\u00e1s all\u00e1 del galard\u00f3n, el objetivo es promover el di\u00e1logo, los intercambios de experiencias y de ideas entre los premiados y tambi\u00e9n con la sociedad.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cEs fundamental abordar la funci\u00f3n del artista, as\u00ed como el papel del p\u00fablico que participa en la creaci\u00f3n y el rol de la instituci\u00f3n que sirve de marco a dicho proceso\u201d, se\u00f1ala <b>Klaus Fruchtnis<\/b>, responsable de la l\u00ednea Arte Ciudadano en Francia. \u201cEl arte ciudadano se opone a cualquier tipo de poder de car\u00e1cter vertical, haciendo que una creaci\u00f3n plural, abierta y horizontal sea posible\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>El Torombo &#8211; El flamenco como motor de cambio<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s2\">Con el flamenco por bandera, el modus vivendi de <strong>Francisco Jos\u00e9 Su\u00e1rez,<\/strong> alias El Torombo, ha consistido en participar, principalmente como palmero, en todas aquellas actuaciones para las que le requer\u00edan otros m\u00fasicos o bailaores, haciendo compatibles sus giras mundiales con su trabajo como educador y director de una academia de flamenco y con su proyecto <strong>Fuera de serie<\/strong>.
