{"id":3728,"date":"2018-04-17T16:31:27","date_gmt":"2018-04-17T16:31:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.expoflamenco.com\/archivo\/?p=3728"},"modified":"2019-03-02T22:58:32","modified_gmt":"2019-03-02T21:58:32","slug":"obra-fundamental-sobre-manuel-torres","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/expoflamenco.com\/archivo\/blog-archivo\/obra-fundamental-sobre-manuel-torres\/","title":{"rendered":"Obra fundamental sobre Manuel Torres"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Apenas he podido acabar de leer este libro, que contiene toda la discograf\u00eda del gran\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.expoflamenco.net\/#!Aquel-genial-Ni%C3%B1o-de-Torres\/c112t\/5785bdb80cf2e25833791608\">Manuel Torres<\/a>, porque escribo m\u00e1s que leo, aunque mi deseo ser\u00eda poder hacer todo lo contrario. Me cautiv\u00f3 el cantaor jerezano hace cuarenta a\u00f1os, cuando compr\u00e9 un disco peque\u00f1o de vinilo con dos de sus cantes en <strong>Casa Pinto<\/strong>, en la calle Cuna de Sevilla. De entrada no me gust\u00f3 y as\u00ed se lo coment\u00e9 a\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.expoflamenco.net\/#!Hablando-de-cante-con-Mairena\/c112t\/5760d1d50cf29542aa289730\">Antonio Mairena<\/a>, quien me dijo: \u201cEscucha ese disco muchas veces y acabar\u00e1s apreciando su valor\u201d. Y as\u00ed fue. Cuando se me meti\u00f3 su sonido en la cabeza, mi amor por <strong>El Majareta<\/strong> creci\u00f3 tanto que comenc\u00e9 a buscar todo lo que tuviera que ver con \u00e9l, su vida y su obra.<\/p>\n<p>La <strong>Colecci\u00f3n Carlos Mart\u00edn Ballester<\/strong>, que comenz\u00f3 con\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.expoflamenco.net\/single-post\/2017\/02\/05\/Colecci%C3%B3n-Carlos-Mart%C3%ADn-Ballester\">Don Antonio Chac\u00f3n<\/a>, edita ahora esta obra sobre Manuel Torres y lo ha hecho en una edici\u00f3n de lujo, con una biograf\u00eda muy documentada \u2013aunque excesivamente t\u00e9cnica, en mi opini\u00f3n, no analizando a fondo al genio de la jerezana calle \u00c1lamos- y el an\u00e1lisis de su obra, algo fundamental en cualquier biograf\u00eda. Hay que destacar no solo el trabajo de Carlos Mart\u00edn sino el de <strong>Ram\u00f3n Soler D\u00edaz<\/strong> y <strong>Norberto Torres<\/strong>, sobre todo, sin desmerecer el de <strong>Jos\u00e9 Manuel Gamboa<\/strong>, quien profundiza bastante menos. Entre todos han logrado una obra que, aunque acaba de salir, es ya fundamental en la bibliograf\u00eda flamenca.<\/p>\n<p>Adem\u00e1s de echar de menos en esta obra una mayor profundizaci\u00f3n en el car\u00e1cter y la vida del genio, tambi\u00e9n he echado en falta un an\u00e1lisis m\u00e1s pormenorizado de la Sevilla que vivi\u00f3 el cantaor, de esos treinta y tantos a\u00f1os que residi\u00f3 Torres en la capital andaluza, en la que dej\u00f3 su esencia, pero en la que tambi\u00e9n bebi\u00f3 bastante. Asimismo, algo m\u00e1s de informaci\u00f3n sobre la familia del cantaor, tanto la de Algeciras como la de Jerez, la paterna como la materna, porque me parece algo fundamental.<\/p>\n<p>Digo esto porque esta obra cerrar\u00e1 pr\u00e1cticamente la biograf\u00eda de <strong>El Ni\u00f1o de Jerez<\/strong>, por su envergadura y calidad. No solo es lo mejor que se ha hecho hasta ahora sobre este artista, lo m\u00e1s completo, sino de lo mejor que se ha hecho jam\u00e1s sobre alg\u00fan otro cantaor de flamenco, y es algo que tenemos que agradecerle a Carlos Mart\u00edn, quien seguir\u00e1 aportando su entusiasmo, sabidur\u00eda y pasi\u00f3n. Nadie como \u00e9l conoce el campo de la discograf\u00eda antigua, la de pizarra, y tenemos la suerte de que es un hombre generoso al que no le importa arriesgar su patrimonio personal para que todos sepamos un poco m\u00e1s sobre lo que dejaron aquellos h\u00e9roes del cante jondo que, como en el caso de Manuel, se fueron en la miseria.<\/p>\n<p>Este segundo volumen de la colecci\u00f3n que lleva el nombre de Carlos Mart\u00edn, dedicado al genial Torres, confirma que estamos haciendo mejor las cosas en este campo, el de la investigaci\u00f3n, tan importante para que nuestros j\u00f3venes artistas y aficionados tengan una fuente fiable en la que poder beber. El pr\u00f3ximo volumen estar\u00e1 dedicado a\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.expoflamenco.net\/#!El-abuelo-recuerda-a-Tom%C3%A1s-Pav%C3%B3n\/c112t\/56ef66b60cf276e9de24fb4d\">Tom\u00e1s Pav\u00f3n<\/a>, otro genio del cante, sevillano de la Puerta Osario y hermano de La\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.expoflamenco.net\/#!Cuarenta-y-seis-a%C3%B1os-sin-Pastora\/c112t\/565548780cf2a1cf6d1811d5\">Ni\u00f1a de los Peines<\/a>.
