Mi carrera de cr\u00edtico, escritor y periodista est\u00e1 ligada al festival sevillano desde su primera edici\u00f3n. El nacimiento de la cita jonda cambi\u00f3 mi vida y me ayud\u00f3 a querer ser cr\u00edtico de flamenco, que era un sue\u00f1o casi inalcanzable por mis escasos estudios. En estos cuarenta y dos a\u00f1os he cubierto cientos de espect\u00e1culos, cuyas cr\u00edticas pueden leer en <a href=\"https:\/\/manuelbohorquez.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">mi p\u00e1gina web<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Repaso de tarde en tarde esas cr\u00edticas y tengo que confesar que algunas me dan un poco de verg\u00fcenza, aunque evidentemente no reniego de ninguna. Siempre he escrito lo que pensaba en cada momento, y ah\u00ed est\u00e1n. Ya no hago cr\u00edticas en la Bienal, quiz\u00e1 porque son muchos a\u00f1os opinando de todo y cada d\u00eda me cuesta m\u00e1s ir a un teatro y opinar luego de lo que me ha parecido tal o cual cantaor o espect\u00e1culo. Pero <strong>sigo queriendo a la Bienal porque soy hijo de ella<\/strong>, he crecido con ella y, l\u00f3gicamente, tambi\u00e9n he disfrutado con ella.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Podr\u00eda contar cientos de momentos emocionantes con <strong>artistas que ya han desaparecido<\/strong>, como Menese, Morente, Camar\u00f3n, Miguel Vargas, la Paquera de Jerez, Fernanda y Bernarda, Manolo Sanl\u00facar, Paco de Luc\u00eda, Farruco o Mario Maya. He llorado muchas veces y, evidentemente, tambi\u00e9n he salido cabreado de un teatro, decepcionado y renegando de los duendes del Planeta y el Fillo. Siempre viv\u00ed la Bienal con verdadera pasi\u00f3n, con la de un aficionado, que es lo que en realidad soy, un enamorado del arte.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u00abCreo que a veces soy excesivamente duro con la Bienal por lo mucho que la quiero. Me duele a veces que no acabe de ser un festival rotundo, de verdadera importancia internacional. La Bienal es muy grande, pero deber\u00eda serlo m\u00e1s a\u00fan, aspirar a todo\u00bb<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Creo que a veces soy excesivamente duro con la Bienal por lo mucho que la quiero. Me duele a veces que no acabe de ser un festival rotundo, de verdadera importancia internacional. <strong>La Bienal es muy grande<\/strong>, pero deber\u00eda serlo m\u00e1s a\u00fan, aspirar a todo, y es as\u00ed. El <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sevilla.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ayuntamiento de Sevilla<\/a> no siempre ha acertado a la hora de elegir director o directora. Tampoco es que sea f\u00e1cil, sinceramente, porque no hay una escuela donde prepararse para una labor tan dif\u00edcil.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Sevilla es la ciudad andaluza con <strong>m\u00e1s solera flamenca<\/strong>, donde podr\u00edamos decir que comenz\u00f3 todo. Gocemos de la Bienal en honor de tantos y tantos artistas que la han hecho grande. Olvidemos por unos d\u00edas las pol\u00e9micas y disfrutemos de todo, de lo que nos guste \u2013hay variedad\u2013, porque pocas cosas hay en el mundo que nos puedan hacer tan felices como el flamenco. Es la mejor m\u00fasica, la m\u00e1s grande, la m\u00e1s pura, la mejor para matar las penas.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Tiempo habr\u00e1, al final, de se\u00f1alar defectos y exigir mejoras.
