Armenia. Oriente Pr\u00f3ximo. Tres millones de habitantes. Antigua rep\u00fablica socialista sovi\u00e9tica. Primera naci\u00f3n en adoptar el cristianismo como religi\u00f3n oficial (siglo IV). Frontera con Georgia, Turqu\u00eda, Azerbaiy\u00e1n e Ir\u00e1n.<\/p>\n

Vale, ahora los flamencos ya pueden coger un mapa y situar el dedo en el lugar de origen de este singular guitarrista. Se llama Vahan Davtyan<\/strong> y naci\u00f3 hace 34 a\u00f1os en Vanadzor, la tercera ciudad m\u00e1s poblada del pa\u00eds. El motivo por el que reside en Sevilla desde 2010 ya os lo pod\u00e9is imaginar. <\/p>\n

Vahan pas\u00f3 por el Conservatorio de M\u00fasica Cl\u00e1sica de Erev\u00e1n, en su tierra natal, y entre 2010 y 2012 asisti\u00f3 al programa de estudios de la Fundaci\u00f3n Cristina Heeren de Arte Flamenco<\/a>. All\u00ed tom\u00f3 clases con Pedro Sierra, Eduardo Rebollar, Ni\u00f1o de Pura y Paco Cort\u00e9s, que considera sus maestros. \u00abCon Rebollar aprend\u00ed c\u00f3mo deb\u00eda sentarme al lado de un cantaor, cu\u00e1ndo respira el cantaor\u00bb, dice. En las aulas trianeras de la Fundaci\u00f3n a\u00fan oficia como auxiliar, labor que compagina con su oficio de guitarrista de acompa\u00f1amiento para la cantaora Lidia Montero, entre otras actuaciones. Semanas atr\u00e1s se asom\u00f3 al I Festival de la Canci\u00f3n Popular Pepe Suero, celebrado en el Cerro del \u00c1guila, Sevilla. All\u00ed cerramos con \u00e9l esta entrevista para Expoflamenco, portal siempre sensible a los artistas for\u00e1neos que caen rendidos en las redes del flamenco.<\/p>\n

\u00abAl o\u00edr a Paco de Luc\u00eda me qued\u00e9 paralizado. Despu\u00e9s de escuchar eso, no podr\u00eda dedicarme a otra cosa en la vida. Siempre tendr\u00eda esas melod\u00edas en mi cabeza\u00bb<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

En esta charla audiovisual, el joven y talentoso Vahan Davtyan recuerda aquella primera guitarra que lleg\u00f3 a sus manos con solo trece a\u00f1os. \u00a1Sin cuerdas! El sagrado instante en que escuch\u00f3 a Paco de Luc\u00eda. \u00abMe qued\u00e9 paralizado. Despu\u00e9s de escuchar eso, no podr\u00eda dedicarme a otra cosa en la vida. Siempre tendr\u00eda esas melod\u00edas en mi cabeza\u00bb, dice. En Sevilla, donde se siente como en casa, se enfrent\u00f3 a la mayor dificultad: acompa\u00f1ar al cante y al baile. \u00abSi naces en Espa\u00f1a, el o\u00eddo se te va haciendo a ello. Est\u00e1s familiarizado con las melod\u00edas, los ritmos. El extranjero tiene que aprenderlo desde cero, casi con partituras\u00bb.<\/p>\n

\u00abYo toco flamenco\u00bb, afirma. \u00abSi no digo que soy de Armenia, nadie se da cuenta\u00bb. Un arte que admira, adora. \u00abEs como si una voz antigua te llamara. Es algo muy misterioso, tan dif\u00edcil y tan complejo\u00bb. Una m\u00fasica que, en su opini\u00f3n, no se muere pero cada d\u00eda se convierte m\u00e1s en material tur\u00edstico. \u00c9l solo quiere tocar como le gusta, sentirse a gusto con la guitarra.<\/p>\n
