{"id":3508,"date":"2018-10-18T18:28:40","date_gmt":"2018-10-18T18:28:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.expoflamenco.com\/archivo\/?p=3508"},"modified":"2019-02-15T21:45:54","modified_gmt":"2019-02-15T20:45:54","slug":"la-mujer-flamenca-en-torres-macarena","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/expoflamenco.com\/archivo\/blog-archivo\/la-mujer-flamenca-en-torres-macarena\/","title":{"rendered":"La mujer flamenca, en Torres Macarena"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>El debate de ma\u00f1ana s\u00e1bado en <strong>Torres Macarena<\/strong>, la pe\u00f1a flamenca sevillana, girar\u00e1 en torno al papel de la mujer en el flamenco, un tema que se ha puesto de moda, aunque esperemos que no se quede solo en eso. \u00bfHa estado discriminada la mujer en el flamenco alguna vez, en alguna de sus etapas? \u00bfLo est\u00e1 en la actualidad? \u00bfLo tiene m\u00e1s dif\u00edcil la mujer que el hombre, por el hecho de serlo? Son preguntas que deber\u00edan tener una respuesta y de esto se trata, de encontrar la respuesta.<\/p>\n<p>A m\u00ed es un asunto que nunca me ha ocupado mucho tiempo porque jam\u00e1s percib\u00ed que la mujer flamenca estuviera discriminada respecto al hombre. Es verdad que, como empec\u00e9 en las pe\u00f1as flamencas, recuerdo que en algunas no hab\u00eda socias, solo socios, y aquello no lo entend\u00eda bien. Iban las mujeres acompa\u00f1adas de sus maridos, y si alguna iba sola, lo cierto es que era mirada con recelo incluso por las dem\u00e1s mujeres. Eso cambi\u00f3 pronto y hoy no solo son socias, sino que presiden algunas de estas pe\u00f1as.<\/p>\n<p>Cuando el flamenco empez\u00f3 a subirse a los escenarios, la mujer ya estaba ah\u00ed. Solo hay que leer los peri\u00f3dicos o los libros. En la c\u00e9lebre fiesta de Sevilla que relat\u00f3 <strong>Est\u00e9banez Calder\u00f3n<\/strong>,\u00a0<em>Un baile en Triana\u00a0<\/em>(1842), estaban <strong>La Perla<\/strong> y <strong>Mar\u00eda de las Nieves<\/strong>, con <strong>Juan de Dios, El Planeta, El Jerezano y El Fillo<\/strong>. El escritor no destaca el hecho de que aquellas mujeres participaran de la fiesta, supongo que porque era ya algo normal. \u00bfTambi\u00e9n en las familias gitanas? Tambi\u00e9n.<\/p>\n<p>A mediados del siglo XIX, y esto lo he destacado ya otras veces, un tal <strong>Peicker<\/strong> organizaba fiestas en Triana para turistas, y en esas fiestas participaban no solo boleras castellanas, sino bailarinas gitanas. Y cuando la fiesta ten\u00eda lugar en alg\u00fan sal\u00f3n o academia de Sevilla o en fiestas particulares, siempre iban unas gitanas de Triana para animar la fiesta. Cobrando, claro est\u00e1. Eran las flamencas, seguramente mujeres, hermanas o hijas de cantaores de Triana como <strong>Manuel Cagancho, Juan el Pelao o Curro Puya<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mar\u00eda Borrico, La Sarneta, La Andonda, La Cuenca, Concha la Carbonera o La Rubia de M\u00e1laga<\/strong> eran mujeres que trabajaban en los caf\u00e9s cantantes o en el teatro. Eran adem\u00e1s creadoras de estilos de seguiriyas o soleares, luego no solo se buscaban la vida, sino que aportaban m\u00fasicas o letras al repertorio flamenco. Las hubo tambi\u00e9n empresarias, como <strong>Tomasa Junquera<\/strong>, la hermana del tambi\u00e9n empresario jerezano, y cantaor, <strong>Juan Junquera<\/strong>. \u00bfUna mujer gitana de empresaria de caf\u00e9s cantantes, y en Jerez? Pues as\u00ed es, aunque por lo visto el que prostituy\u00f3 el cante gitano fue <strong>Silverio<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>La mujer jug\u00f3 un importante papel en la gestaci\u00f3n del arte flamenco, y en la actualidad es un papel absolutamente protagonista puesto que ocupa cargos de relevancia en las instituciones p\u00fablicas o privadas. Las mujeres dirigen pe\u00f1as, revistas y programas de radio. Tambi\u00e9n festivales importantes o tablaos. Hay doctoras en Flamenco, y escritoras especializadas, as\u00ed como cr\u00edticas. Por tanto, no parece l\u00f3gico que haya ahora tanta pol\u00e9mica sobre el papel de la mujer en el flamenco, precisamente cuando ocupa una posici\u00f3n importante, sin duda por sus propios m\u00e9ritos.<\/p>\n<p>De todo esto vamos a hablar ma\u00f1ana en Torres Macarena, como el pasado s\u00e1bado lo hicimos sobre la Bienal.
