Conoc\u00ed a dos de sus hermanas, <strong>Teresa<\/strong> y <strong>La Rubia<\/strong>, que me contaron muchas an\u00e9cdotas sobre \u00e9l, <strong>El Carbonero<\/strong> o <strong>Pastora<\/strong>, su mujer. Estaba recopilando informaci\u00f3n para hacerle una biograf\u00eda como la que le hice a la <strong>Ni\u00f1a de los Peines<\/strong> hace ya veinte a\u00f1os, pero no encontr\u00e9 la colaboraci\u00f3n deseada por parte de su familia, algo recelosa. A Pepe lo vi solo una vez, cuando yo tendr\u00eda entre 8 o 9 a\u00f1os, o sea, sobre 1967. Fue en Mairena del Aljarafe (Sevilla), al lado de Palomares del R\u00edo, donde yo viv\u00eda entonces.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Mi madre me hab\u00eda llevado al m\u00e9dico y al salir nos sentamos en la terraza de un bar de la traves\u00eda. En la mesa de al lado vi a un hombre bajito y regordete que me miraba mucho y que cuando yo lo miraba a \u00e9l me gui\u00f1aba un ojo y me sacaba la lengua. Este ser\u00e1 bujarr\u00f3n, me dije para m\u00ed. En Palomares nos met\u00edan a veces miedo con los mariquitas, adem\u00e1s de con los pobres, algo que nunca entend\u00ed. \u201c\u00a1Que viene un pobre!\u201d, y corr\u00edamos para la casa que nos las pel\u00e1bamos. O con los vendedores ambulantes. \u201c\u00a1Qu\u00e9 viene el Momo!\u201d, dec\u00eda mi madre cuando llegaba alg\u00fan vendedor ambulante a Cuatro Vientos.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u00abAquel hombre guapet\u00f3n y con cara de bueno segu\u00eda gui\u00f1\u00e1ndome un ojo, creo que el izquierdo, y se lo dije a mi madre, que estaba ya un poco mosqueada. Se ri\u00f3, naturalmente, y me dijo: \u201cEse hombre es Pepe Pinto, muy famoso\u201d\u00bb<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Aquel hombre guapet\u00f3n y con cara de bueno segu\u00eda sac\u00e1ndome la lengua y gui\u00f1\u00e1ndome un ojo, creo que el izquierdo, y se lo dije a mi madre, que estaba ya un poco mosqueada. Se ri\u00f3, naturalmente, y me dijo: \u201cEse hombre es <strong>Pepe Pinto<\/strong>, muy famoso\u201d. No ten\u00eda ni idea entonces de los cantaores, pero me sonaba el nombre. Mi madre lo reconoci\u00f3 porque le gustaba mucho el cante y cantaba flamenco con una voz muy bonita, en la l\u00ednea de la <strong>Ni\u00f1a de la Puebla<\/strong>. Y el Pinto fue un cantaor muy popular en toda Espa\u00f1a, pero sobre todo en Sevilla, por sus canciones aflamencadas.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00bfPor qu\u00e9 me gui\u00f1ar\u00eda el ojo y me sacar\u00eda la lengua con tanta reiteraci\u00f3n? Pens\u00e9 que era porque quer\u00eda camelarme, pero con los a\u00f1os he entendido que ser\u00eda porque lo miraba continuamente, a lo mejor porque alguna vez lo ver\u00eda en la tele o alg\u00fan peri\u00f3dico. Y como yo ten\u00eda unos ojos como huevos de pava, grandes, le llamar\u00edan la atenci\u00f3n. Es curioso que nunca olvid\u00e9 aquel encuentro en Mairena del Aljarafe con el genio del cante sevillano.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Qui\u00e9n me iba a decir entonces que un d\u00eda ser\u00eda parte de mi vida, de mis grandes referencias en el cante. \u00bfY si me miraba y me sacaba la lengua porque me vio cara de cantaor?
