Podr\u00eda, porque soy con toda seguridad quien m\u00e1s documentaci\u00f3n tiene sobre el flamenco en esa importante ciudad. Ya he aportado alguna sin poner la mano, porque no he dado nunca una conferencia en la patria chica de <strong>Chac\u00f3n<\/strong> y <strong>Manuel Torres<\/strong>. Solo una vez me llamaron para charlar un poco, los amigos de Flamenco de Mesa Camilla, de <strong>Jos\u00e9 Luis M\u00e1rquez<\/strong>, una reuni\u00f3n privada, y fui gratis.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">En C\u00e1diz tampoco, y me gast\u00e9 miles de euros solo en investigar al <strong>Planeta<\/strong> para poder aportar lo que aport\u00e9, entre otras cosas que por fin se supiera qui\u00e9n era y demostrar que fue de C\u00e1diz. Y en Sevilla, mi tierra, llevo d\u00e9cadas sin dar una charla en condiciones, a pesar de llevar cuarenta y cinco a\u00f1os investigando y escribiendo libros sobre artistas sevillanos: <strong>Fernando el de Triana, la Ni\u00f1a de los Peines, el Ni\u00f1o de Escacena, Tom\u00e1s Pav\u00f3n, el Carbonerillo<\/strong>\u2026<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u00abNo es que Lola Flores no fuera una artista que merezca ser analizada. Era una gran artista, de las grandes de verdad. No era, eso s\u00ed, una bailaora ni cantaora de flamenco, aunque bailaba con arte y cantaba graciosa, como la hubiera definido Antonio Mairena\u00bb<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u00bfPor qu\u00e9 no me he presentado al concurso de Jerez, ni pienso hacerlo nunca? Porque luego ponen un jurado donde casi nadie sabe una papa, como ha ocurrido este a\u00f1o, premiando un trabajo sobre <strong>Lola Flores<\/strong>, con lo que hay que investigar a\u00fan en el flamenco jerezano de verdad. S\u00f3lo un investigador en el jurado. \u00bfEs esto l\u00f3gico? No es que yo tenga que estar, pero, \u00bfpor qu\u00e9 no he estado en ninguna de las cuatro ediciones? Por el mismo motivo por el que no he dado nunca una conferencia para exponer el resultado de mis investigaciones en esa ciudad.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">No es que Lola Flores no fuera una artista que merezca ser analizada. En primer lugar, era una gran artista, de las grandes de verdad. No era, eso s\u00ed, una bailaora ni cantaora de flamenco, aunque bailaba con arte y cantaba graciosa, como la hubiera definido <strong>Antonio Mairena<\/strong>. Cuando al maestro le preguntabas por c\u00f3mo cantaba alg\u00fan cantaor y no le gustaba, dec\u00eda que cantaba muy gracioso, solo eso. No era de elogio f\u00e1cil. Le pregunt\u00e9 un d\u00eda por <strong>Calixto S\u00e1nchez<\/strong>, su paisano, y contest\u00f3: \u201cTiene voz, s\u00ed\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">No conozco el trabajo premiado de <strong>Cristina Cruces<\/strong> y, obviamente, no puedo opinar.
