El agente art\u00edstico <strong>Jes\u00fas Antonio Pulp\u00f3n<\/strong> quiso quitarlo de todo y lo tuvo en un piso de Sevilla que, seg\u00fan me dijo el afamado representante, estaba en la zona de Nervi\u00f3n Plaza. El genio de la Isla pas\u00f3 en ese piso, seguramente, los momentos m\u00e1s duros de su vida, pero necesitaba apartarse de la calle.<\/p>\n<p>Un d\u00eda me llam\u00f3 Pulp\u00f3n para un asunto personal y me dijo que cuando iba a verlo por las noches para llevarle algo de cena y estar con \u00e9l un rato, casi siempre estaba escuchando <strong><em>El duende y el t\u00e1rab<\/em><\/strong>, mi programa flamenco de <strong>Radio Aljarafe<\/strong>, la emisora municipal de Tomares, que se emit\u00eda en directo cada d\u00eda de 8 a 10 de la noche y ten\u00eda una audiencia de miles de personas. \u201cTe lo digo para que lo sepas\u201d, me dijo Pulp\u00f3n, conociendo mi amor por <strong>Jos\u00e9 Monge Cruz<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u00abEn Suiza, estando sentado cerca de Camar\u00f3n junto al productor norteamericano Quincy Jones, le escuch\u00e9 cantar por lo bajini &#8216;Mi perra por los rosales&#8217;, la sole\u00e1 apol\u00e1 de Marchena. Se me saltaron las l\u00e1grimas, y el maestro me gui\u00f1\u00f3 el ojo izquierdo\u00bb<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Sabiendo que cada noche estaba escuch\u00e1ndome, lo cierto es que modifiqu\u00e9 un poco el programa y pon\u00eda discos de artistas que yo sab\u00eda que le gustaban, como <strong>el Chaqueta, la Perla de C\u00e1diz, Manolo Caracol<\/strong> o <strong>Juanito Villar<\/strong>. Un d\u00eda dediqu\u00e9 un programa especial al <strong>Ni\u00f1o de Marchena<\/strong>, con entrevista a su viuda, <strong>Isabelita<\/strong>, que nos trajo grabaciones in\u00e9ditas del maestro. Fue un programa incre\u00edble que tuvo decenas de miles de oyentes, entre ellos a Camar\u00f3n. Al d\u00eda siguiente, Pulp\u00f3n lo visit\u00f3 y Jos\u00e9 lo coment\u00f3 con \u00e9l, confes\u00e1ndole que cuando estaba solo cantaba cosas de Marchena, al que admiraba mucho. \u201cNo se lo vayas a decir a nadie\u201d, le dijo. Pulp\u00f3n me lo cont\u00f3 con mucha cautela, rog\u00e1ndome que no lo dijera por la radio, y nunca lo dije. Pero un d\u00eda, meses despu\u00e9s, Camar\u00f3n lo elogi\u00f3 por la radio y entonces no me import\u00f3 hablarlo con <strong>Morente<\/strong>, que fue un gran marchenista.<\/p>\n<p>Con motivo de la presentaci\u00f3n en C\u00e1diz de su disco <strong><em>Soy gitano <\/em><\/strong>(1989), al que fui invitado, est\u00e1bamos en un restaurante cercano al teatro y entr\u00f3 Jos\u00e9 agarrado del brazo de <strong>Rancapino<\/strong>, en un estado f\u00edsico que me impresion\u00f3. Iba con ellos Pulp\u00f3n, quien, al verme, le dijo a Jos\u00e9 al o\u00eddo que estaba all\u00ed y el maestro me busc\u00f3 con la mirada. Al pasar por mi vera me dijo, con la voz muy apagada: \u201c\u00a1Qu\u00e9 te gusta Enrique!\u201d. Entonces me coment\u00f3 Pulp\u00f3n que ten\u00eda un ataque de celos, por mi pasi\u00f3n por Morente. En efecto, en esa \u00e9poca yo hab\u00eda sido abducido por Enrique y lo pon\u00eda cada d\u00eda en el programa de radio. M\u00e1s que a Camar\u00f3n, aunque tambi\u00e9n pinchaba mucho sus discos.<\/p>\n<p>Dos a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s, en 1991, tuve la fortuna de estar con Camar\u00f3n en el <a href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Festival_de_Jazz_de_Montreux\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Festival de Jazz de Montreux<\/a> (Suiza), y habl\u00e9 muy poco con \u00e9l porque estaba ya malito y no se dejaba ver mucho por el hotel. Pero en un almuerzo, estando sentado cerca de \u00e9l junto al productor norteamericano <strong>Quincy Jones<\/strong>, le escuch\u00e9 cantar por lo bajini <em>Mi perra por los rosales, <\/em>la sole\u00e1 apol\u00e1 de Marchena.
