Pero los hubo que jam\u00e1s impresionaron\u00a0discos y que eran incluso m\u00e1s buenos que los que s\u00ed lo hicieron. <strong>Antonio Peana<\/strong>, el guitarrista de la Macarena, me cont\u00f3\u00a0un d\u00eda que <strong>Antonio Silva\u00a0<em>El Portugu\u00e9s<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0fue un cantaor magn\u00edfico, pero que no grab\u00f3 porque su voz no era comercial o\u00a0para el gran p\u00fablico. Tampoco lo era la de Manuel Escacena y grab\u00f3 bastantes discos, as\u00ed como Fernando el Herrero o\u00a0Pepe el de la Matrona.<\/p>\n<p>Hay una serie de cantaores hist\u00f3ricos de Jerez que han ido cayendo en el olvido. Rescat\u00e1bamos\u00a0hace unos d\u00edas a <strong>Juan Ram\u00edrez<\/strong> y hoy damos informaci\u00f3n sobre el c\u00e9lebre <strong>Carapiera<\/strong>, que se llam\u00f3 <strong>Jos\u00e9 Ni\u00f1o Loreto<\/strong>,\u00a0primo de <strong>Manuel Torres<\/strong>. Naci\u00f3 dos a\u00f1os m\u00e1s tarde que \u00e9l, en 1882, luego crecieron juntos. Al no grabar disco alguno,\u00a0es dif\u00edcil saber c\u00f3mo era su voz y c\u00f3mo cantaba en realidad. Al parecer, su sonido era muy parecido al de Torres, algo\u00a0met\u00e1lico y nasal, que es una caracter\u00edstica de esa familia jerezana. Una vez m\u00e1s, conocemos su estilo de soleares por\u00a0<strong>Agujetas el Viejo<\/strong>, como ocurre con las de Juan Ram\u00edrez, aunque las han grabado otros cantaores. Hasta Antonio\u00a0Mairena, quien estuvo un tiempo detr\u00e1s de Agujetas padre para que se las apuntara:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>Por lo que yo voy mirando\u00a0<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Yo no he tira\u00edto pieras<\/em><br \/>\n<em>poquito me est\u00e1 faltando.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Un estilo de sole\u00e1 con el comp\u00e1s muy marcado y vivo, cercano a las buler\u00edas para escuchar y a las viejas canti\u00f1as\u00a0sanluque\u00f1as que tambi\u00e9n conoc\u00eda Ram\u00f3n Medrano, quien alguna vez me habl\u00f3 de Carapiera y de sus rarezas, otra\u00a0caracter\u00edstica de los Loretos de San Miguel, que estaban casi todos zumbados.<\/p>\n<p>Este cantaor gitano, Carapiera, muri\u00f3 en Jerez, en la calle Acebuche, el 18 de abril de 1931, dos a\u00f1os antes que\u00a0Manuel Torres.
