Pocos cre\u00edan en que este festival acabar\u00eda triunfando, por la novedad del formato, dedicado al baile flamenco y la danza espa\u00f1ola, en una ciudad con un concepto tan claro y conservador del arte jondo, donde adem\u00e1s gusta mucho vivir el flamenco en tabancos, pe\u00f1as y fiestas particulares. Pues son veinticuatro ediciones. O sea, que el pr\u00f3ximo a\u00f1o ser\u00e1n las bodas de plata.<\/p>\n<p>Miles de personas vienen a Jerez cada a\u00f1o buscando algo que no lo hay en todos los festivales, esa combinaci\u00f3n de lo novedoso y lo cl\u00e1sico, lo a\u00f1ejo y lo nuevo. Y esa manera tan \u00fanica de vivir el ambiente de la ciudad cuando cierran los teatros o salas, para disfrutar de la fiesta privada, las reuniones, el cuartito de cabales y las copas con los flamencos. En este sentido, el Festival de Jerez es \u00fanico y puede que ah\u00ed est\u00e9 un poco el secreto de su \u00e9xito: en ofrecer algo que no tienen los dem\u00e1s festivales nacionales o internacionales.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u00abY luego est\u00e1n el encanto de la ciudad, su historia flamenca y, sobre todo, el arte de sus profesionales y lo atentos que son con quienes vienen desde todo el mundo a formarse o a disfrutar del comp\u00e1s y el desenfado de las reuniones\u00bb<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Recuerdo cuando se celebr\u00f3 la primera edici\u00f3n y me perd\u00ed por San Miguel y Santiago con algunos artistas importantes de la tierra. No apostaban por el \u00e9xito de la cita. Pas\u00f3 un poco como con la Bienal de Sevilla, que los propios sevillanos se pusieron de u\u00f1as porque era algo desconocido en H\u00edspalis, a pesar de que en la Quincena de Flamenco y M\u00fasica Andaluza, creada antes que la Bienal, se apuntaba ya una nueva manera de organizar festivales en teatros. Hoy hablas con aquellos artistas jerezanos que no lo ve\u00edan claro \u2013algunos ya desaparecidos\u2013 y reconocen que estaban equivocados. Hasta se sienten orgullosos del festival de festivales.<\/p>\n<p>\u00bfPor qu\u00e9 el \u00e9xito? No es f\u00e1cil contestar esta pregunta. Sin duda alguna, y es justo decirlo, por el gran esfuerzo que hace el <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jerez.es\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ayuntamiento de Jerez<\/a> para que se pueda celebrar cada a\u00f1o. No es una organizaci\u00f3n perfecta, aunque roza la perfecci\u00f3n. Y luego est\u00e1n el encanto de la ciudad, su historia flamenca y, sobre todo, el arte de sus profesionales y lo atentos que son con quienes vienen desde todo el mundo a formarse o simplemente a disfrutar del comp\u00e1s y el desenfado de las reuniones.<\/p>\n<p>Este a\u00f1o voy a estar algunos d\u00edas para contar lo que pasa y opinar de algunos espect\u00e1culos, sobre todo estrenos.
