Cualquier generalizaci\u00f3n acarrea injusticias, pero as\u00ed es. Y no son los que m\u00e1s saben: son sus hermanos, mujeres, cu\u00f1ados o primos. Sin olvidarnos de los seguidores en las redes sociales. Pero me apetec\u00eda escribir de la soledad, con sentido, del cantaor granadino <strong>Manuel Lorente<\/strong>, un artista interesante por cuanto investiga y arriesga. Nada comercial, ni tampoco anquilosado en el clasicismo.<\/p>\n<p>Manuel es un cantaor entre los grandes cl\u00e1sicos de hace un siglo y los contempor\u00e1neos, con cierta melancol\u00eda en la voz, que unas veces bucea en el oc\u00e9ano de <strong>Caracol<\/strong> y otras en el de <strong>Morente<\/strong>, dos referencias bien reconocibles. \u00c9l ha contado algunas veces c\u00f3mo su padre, que fue un gran aficionado, le hizo amar a Caracol, lo que indica que fue un buen padre.<\/p>\n<p>Su \u00faltimo ced\u00e9, <strong><em>Flamenco y sentido<\/em><\/strong>, me ha interesado por dos cosas muy claras. La primera, porque todo tiene un sentido. Y la segunda, porque en \u00e9l acent\u00faa a\u00fan m\u00e1s su soledad de artista nada manoseado. No es un cantaor brillante, pero es que no hay obligaci\u00f3n de serlo. Lo importante en un artista flamenco es su posici\u00f3n ante, en este caso, el cante, y Manuel est\u00e1 bien posicionado.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u00abEl disco &#8216;Flamenco y Sentido&#8217;\u00a0es m\u00e1s que recomendable, porque es el resultado de un m\u00fasico que estudia, que investiga, que escribe y que canta sin grandes pretensiones de malabarismo\u00bb<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Su compromiso con la cultura y el arte es innegable. Escribe, adem\u00e1s, sus propias letras, que para m\u00ed tiene un gran valor porque canta las cosas de la vida, la suya. Si yo fuera cantaor cantar\u00eda tambi\u00e9n mis propias coplas, porque el cante ser\u00e1 siempre m\u00e1s aut\u00e9ntico. Creo que en el siglo XIX era normal que los artistas del cante cantaran sus propias letras, las declararan o no.<\/p>\n<p>Manuel Lorente Rivas \u2013ya hubo un Lorente, sevillano, que hizo historia en el cante\u2013 es de la provincia de Granada, de V\u00e9lez de Benaudalla, aunque de ni\u00f1o ya viv\u00eda en la capital. Tiene a\u00fan un acento granadino innegable, a pesar de que se ha movido por otras tierras. Morente nunca lo perdi\u00f3 y me hac\u00eda mucha gracia cuando hablaba con \u00e9l, con aquella musiquilla albaycinera fusionada con la del Madrid m\u00e1s castizo. Esto le da cierto encanto y autenticidad al cante de Lorente, con esa voz pausada, sin adornos, que aborda con conocimiento cantes como la ca\u00f1a, las soleares, las canti\u00f1as o las seguiriyas.<\/p>\n<p>Su \u00faltimo disco, <em>Flamenco y Sentido<\/em>, con <strong>Ricardo Mi\u00f1o<\/strong> y <strong>Manuel Parrilla<\/strong> a la guitarra, es m\u00e1s que recomendable, porque es el resultado de un m\u00fasico que estudia, que investiga, que escribe y que canta sin grandes pretensiones de malabarismo. Grabar en estos tiempos es algo heroico, por c\u00f3mo est\u00e1 el mercado, y grabar discos as\u00ed, como este, es a\u00fan m\u00e1s \u00e9pico.
