{"id":15718,"date":"2019-10-06T15:49:06","date_gmt":"2019-10-06T13:49:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.expoflamenco.com\/archivo\/?p=15718"},"modified":"2021-04-07T14:59:08","modified_gmt":"2021-04-07T12:59:08","slug":"medio-siglo-sin-el-cantaor-pepe-pinto","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/expoflamenco.com\/archivo\/bordonazo\/medio-siglo-sin-el-cantaor-pepe-pinto\/","title":{"rendered":"Medio siglo sin Pepe Pinto"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tal d\u00eda como hoy \u20136 de octubre\u2013 de hace cincuenta a\u00f1os mor\u00eda el gran cantaor sevillano <strong>Pepe Pinto<\/strong> en su domicilio de la calle Calatrava, 20, donde viv\u00eda con su esposa, la gran <strong>Ni\u00f1a de los Peines<\/strong>, que nunca fue consciente de que hab\u00eda enviudado, por su enfermedad, que la dej\u00f3 sin memoria. As\u00ed y todo, como hubo tanto ajetreo aquella noche en el domicilio conyugal, Pastora lleg\u00f3 a preguntar: \u201c\u00bfSe ha muerto Pepe, quiz\u00e1?\u201d. Y s\u00ed, el gran cantaor macareno hab\u00eda muerto con el h\u00edgado reventado y la pena de dejar al amor de su vida en una cama, desmemoriada y llamando a sus gitanos.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u00abSe llevaban 13 a\u00f1os \u2013Pastora a \u00e9l\u2013, pero eso jam\u00e1s fue un problema. Tuvieron algunos, pero ese no. Se quisieron hasta la muerte y fue una bonita historia de amor\u00bb<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>En la madrugada del 5 de octubre de 1969, Pepe Pinto se sinti\u00f3 mal repentinamente y se meti\u00f3 en el cuarto ba\u00f1o de casa, donde lleg\u00f3 a vomitar sangre. Llamaron a su m\u00e9dico, don <strong>Jos\u00e9 Rivero Fonta<\/strong>, que viendo su estado mand\u00f3 ingresarlo en el Hospital sevillano Garc\u00eda Morato. Entr\u00f3 ya en coma y, viendo que no ten\u00eda soluci\u00f3n, decidieron mandarlo a casa para que muriera en su cama junto a su mujer y hermanos. Muri\u00f3 a las seis y media de la ma\u00f1ana y fue enterrado al d\u00eda siguiente a las diez y media de la ma\u00f1ana en el Cementerio de San Fernando de Sevilla, donde los hermanos <strong>Dom\u00ednguez Solano<\/strong> hab\u00edan medio acabado el pante\u00f3n familiar, frente a la tumba del torero <strong>El Espartero<\/strong>, cerca de la de <strong>Gabriela Ortega Feria<\/strong>, la madre de <strong>Rafael<\/strong> y <strong>Joselito<\/strong>, y del impresionante mausoleo del gran torero de Gelves, obra de <strong>Mariano Benlliure<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Poco tiempo antes, Pepe le cant\u00f3 este fandango a Pastora, casi sin que ella supiera qui\u00e9n se lo hab\u00eda cantado:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Diera parte de mi vida <\/em><br \/>\n<em>por verte buena otra vez.<\/em><br \/>\n<em>\u00a1Dios m\u00edo, nunca cre\u00eda <\/em><br \/>\n<em>que quisiera a mi mujer <\/em><br \/>\n<em>igual que a la madre m\u00eda!<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>No es de sus mejores letras, pero s\u00ed la m\u00e1s apasionada y dolorosa. Y es que <strong>Jos\u00e9 Torres Garz\u00f3n<\/strong>, <em>Pepe Pinto<\/em>, estuvo toda su vida enamorado de la Ni\u00f1a de los Peines, la cantaora, y quiso con locura a <strong>Pastora Pav\u00f3n Cruz<\/strong>, la mujer. La conoci\u00f3 en el Casino de Arahal en 1919, cuando Pepe ten\u00eda solo 16 a\u00f1os. Pastora estuvo ese d\u00eda en el pueblo de su madre, <strong>Pastora Cruz Vargas<\/strong>, y de su hermano mayor, <strong>Jos\u00e9 \u00c1ngel Pav\u00f3n Cruz<\/strong>, conocido por Arturo. Entr\u00f3 en el Casino, en la Plaza de la Corredera, al lado del Ayuntamiento, y cuando Pepe la vio, una morenaza de 29 a\u00f1os, la mejor cantaora ya de Espa\u00f1a, se fue para ella y le dijo que la admiraba como no hab\u00eda admirado jam\u00e1s a nadie.<\/p>\n<p>Catorce a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s, en 1933, se casaron en la Parroquia de San Gil, en la Macarena, con los guitarristas <strong>Antonio Moreno<\/strong> y el <strong>Ni\u00f1o Ricardo<\/strong> como testigos. Se llevaban 13 a\u00f1os \u2013Pastora a \u00e9l\u2013, pero eso jam\u00e1s fue un problema. Tuvieron algunos, pero ese no. Se quisieron hasta la muerte y fue una bonita historia de amor.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u00abJos\u00e9 Torres Garz\u00f3n, Pepe Pinto, estuvo toda su vida enamorado de la Ni\u00f1a de los Peines, la cantaora, y quiso con locura a Pastora Pav\u00f3n Cruz, la mujer\u00bb<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Pepe Pinto ha sido uno de los tres o cuatro cantaores m\u00e1s grandes de Sevilla, con <strong>Manuel Vallejo, Manuel Centeno, Manolo Caracol, El Carbonero<\/strong> y <strong>Pepe Marchena<\/strong>. Fue un ni\u00f1o prodigio del cante al que sub\u00edan a las mesas de los bares del barrio para que cantara por fandangos, un estilo suyo. Cantaba entonces junto a otro ni\u00f1o prodigio, El Carbonerillo, y los dos formaron una revoluci\u00f3n en Sevilla, hasta el punto de que les sacaron este fandango:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>De bailaoras y toreros <\/em><br \/>\n<em>Sevilla tiene la fama. <\/em><br \/>\n<em>Pero en el cante flamenco, <\/em><br \/>\n<em>se llevan la laureada <\/em><br \/>\n<em>El Pinto y El Carbonero<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Su atracci\u00f3n por el juego lo convirti\u00f3 en uno de los mejores <em>croupiers&nbsp;<\/em>de Sevilla y como se lo rifaban en los casinos, abandon\u00f3 el cante nada m\u00e1s comenzar su carrera. Cuando Primo de Rivera, en 1923, prohibi\u00f3 los casinos, Pepito el Pinto decidi\u00f3 reemprender su carrera de cantaor y desde esa fecha hasta su muerte fue una de las primeras figuras del cante y uno de los grandes empresarios del g\u00e9nero.
