La gran noche final es la <strong>Gala de Entrega del Caracol de Oro<\/strong>, la c\u00e9lebre insignia que, en esta ocasi\u00f3n, se ha otorgado al cantaor lebrijano <strong>Manuel de Paula<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Es un reconocimiento, seg\u00fan la declaraci\u00f3n municipal, \u00aba la trayectoria personal y art\u00edstica de un lebrijano, gran protector de lo mejor del flamenco, al tiempo que vanguardista e innovador de este arte universal\u00bb. En declaraciones a <strong>Expoflamenco<\/strong>, el c\u00e9lebre cantaor dijo: \u00abQue te den un reconocimiento de esta categor\u00eda en tu pueblo es una alegr\u00eda, y una satisfacci\u00f3n muy grande. Me siento muy querido en Lebrija\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Ante la pregunta de c\u00f3mo ve el futuro del cante lebrijano, Manuel de Paula afirm\u00f3 que \u00abel flamenco en esta tierra perdurar\u00e1 siempre, por los siglos de los siglos. Es un pueblo fundamental en este arte, por su historia, por los artistas que ha dado y los que sigue dando. La cantera empuja fuerte. Por eso te digo que el flamenco en Lebrija no tiene fin\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Manuel Valencia Carrasco naci\u00f3 el 8 de abril de 1956 en la flamenqu\u00edsima calle Cantarranas. Es hijo del cantaor Manuel Valencia Vargas <strong>El Caneco\u00a0<\/strong>y de la cantaora <strong>Ana Carrasco\u00a0<\/strong>Pe\u00f1a, de la c\u00e9lebre saga de los <strong>Paula<\/strong>, a la que tambi\u00e9n pertenece\u00a0<strong>Curro Malena<\/strong>. En 1970, con solo catorce a\u00f1os, Manuel gan\u00f3 el Primer Premio del <strong>Concurso Nacional de Cante Jondo Antonio Mairena<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>La gala, presentada por el periodista <strong>Antonio Ortega<\/strong>, cont\u00f3 con las actuaciones de <strong>Jos\u00e9 de la Tomasa<\/strong>, <strong>Pedro el Grana\u00edno\u00a0<\/strong>y <strong>Mar\u00eda Terremoto<\/strong>, al cante. Y el baile de <strong>Manuela Carpio<\/strong>.
