Ayer se cumplieron veintisiete a\u00f1os de la muerte de <strong>Camar\u00f3n<\/strong> y las redes sociales se llenaron de homenajes al genio, coincidiendo muchas personas en que fue el mejor de todos los tiempos. \u00bfMejor que <strong>Chac\u00f3n, la Ni\u00f1a de los Peines, Marchena, Caracol, Vallejo<\/strong> y <strong>Mairena<\/strong>? Imposible, pero cada cual tiene el leg\u00edtimo derecho a decir lo que siente.<\/p>\n<p>Es muy dif\u00edcil ser objetivo en este asunto, porque nos pierde la pasi\u00f3n y el amor que sentimos por los \u00eddolos del cante o el toque. Ocurre igual con <strong>Paco de Luc\u00eda<\/strong>, el mejor de la historia para muchos. Hay quienes reducen la historia del arte flamenco al binomio <strong>Paco-Camar\u00f3n<\/strong>, que es como reducir la pintura a Vel\u00e1zquez o Picasso o la poes\u00eda a Machado y Lorca. Pero es muy humano que nos sintamos atra\u00eddos de una manera pasional por quien nos gusta o nos ha enamorado porque nos ha zamarreado el alma. Me ocurre a m\u00ed tambi\u00e9n, que soy cr\u00edtico de flamenco y se supone que tengo que controlar las emociones y ser lo m\u00e1s objetivo posible.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u00abLo mismo escucho a Chac\u00f3n, Manuel Torres o Marchena que a Perico el Pa\u00f1ero, El Cabrillero o Rancapino Chico. Me gusta el cante en s\u00ed y lo vivo sin prejuicios. Seguramente es que me he hecho mayor\u00bb<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>El primer cantaor que me cautiv\u00f3 de una manera casi enfermiza fue <strong>El Carbonerillo<\/strong> (Sevilla, 1906-1937), el genial cantaor de la calle Sol. Hasta el punto de escribir su biograf\u00eda. Llegu\u00e9 a obsesionarme tanto con <strong>Manuel Vega Garc\u00eda<\/strong> que no dorm\u00eda y busqu\u00e9 de \u00e9l todo lo que quedaba en Sevilla: fotograf\u00edas, carteles, objetos personales\u2026 Busqu\u00e9 a sus hermanas vivas para que me hablaran de \u00e9l y cuando descubr\u00ed que sus restos a\u00fan estaban en el Cementerio de San Fernando de Sevilla, sol\u00eda ir casi todos los meses a charlar con \u00e9l. En serio, para m\u00ed El Carbonero era Dios, el mejor fandanguero de la historia y una de las voces m\u00e1s puras que he escuchado.<\/p>\n<p>A\u00f1os m\u00e1s tarde me ocurri\u00f3 lo mismo con <strong>Enrique Morente<\/strong>, el maestro de Granada al que tanto echo de menos. Era yo muy joven cuando cantaba sus cosas, sobre todo <em>La Estrella<\/em>, que me cautiv\u00f3. Sin embargo, como estaba abducido por el mairenismo, reconozco que no entend\u00eda muchas cosas de Morente y que me aburr\u00eda a veces. Todo cambi\u00f3 cuando comenc\u00e9 a estudiar su discograf\u00eda y descubr\u00ed que era no solo un gran cantaor, sino un creador genial. Muy criticado siempre en Sevilla, por cierto, de ah\u00ed que apostara tanto por \u00e9l y le defendiera a capa y espada, lo que me trajo muchos problemas con el mairenismo y los gitanistas m\u00e1s intransigentes.<\/p>\n<p>Hoy veo el asunto del cante de una manera muy distinta a hace cuarenta a\u00f1os y no me apasiono tanto. Quiz\u00e1 tambi\u00e9n de una manera m\u00e1s fr\u00eda, cerebral, porque ninguna figura joven me ha enganchado a\u00fan como lo hicieron Morente, <strong>Lebrijano<\/strong> o Camar\u00f3n. Es que hoy no hay figuras de esta talla. Por tanto, disfruto del cante de una forma m\u00e1s relajada y tranquila, sin emociones desbordadas ni borracheras a media noche en pe\u00f1as de mala muerte. Lo mismo escucho a<strong> Chac\u00f3n, Manuel Torres<\/strong> o Marchena, que a <strong>Perico el Pa\u00f1ero, El Cabrillero<\/strong> o <strong>Rancapino Chico<\/strong>.
