{"id":12634,"date":"2019-05-29T13:09:13","date_gmt":"2019-05-29T11:09:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.expoflamenco.com\/archivo\/?p=12634"},"modified":"2019-05-29T13:10:29","modified_gmt":"2019-05-29T11:10:29","slug":"mairena-y-morente-en-mi-formacion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/expoflamenco.com\/archivo\/bordonazo\/mairena-y-morente-en-mi-formacion\/","title":{"rendered":"Mairena y Morente en mi formaci\u00f3n"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span lang=\"ES\">Ahora que tanto se habla del papel de la cr\u00edtica flamenca, de si los cr\u00edticos sabemos o no sabemos, de si el colectivo est\u00e1 m\u00e1s o menos profesionalizado, me apetece introducir otro elemento m\u00e1s en el debate: c\u00f3mo nos influyen los grandes artistas a la hora de formarnos como cr\u00edticos y de dar nuestras opiniones. En los cuarenta y cuatro a\u00f1os que llevo metido en el mundo del flamenco \u2013treinta y nueve ya como cr\u00edtico\u2013, los he tratado a todos, quiero decir a los m\u00e1s grandes de estas cuatro \u00faltimas d\u00e9cadas. Y me han marcaron especialmente dos: <strong>Antonio Mairena<\/strong> y <strong>Enrique Morente<\/strong>. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"ES\">Conoc\u00ed antes a Mairena, cuando ten\u00eda solo 20 a\u00f1os, una noche que el maestro daba una conferencia en la ya extinta <strong>Pe\u00f1a Flamenca Ni\u00f1o Ricardo<\/strong>, de Sevilla. Aquella noche me acerqu\u00e9 a \u00e9l y le hice saber que me gustaba su cante y que me interesaban todas sus cosas. Me dio una tarjeta para que lo llamara un d\u00eda y me pasara por su casa, lo que hice semanas despu\u00e9s. Para m\u00ed fue algo grandioso poder estar hablando de cante con el maestro gitano en su propia casa, tomando caf\u00e9 y debatiendo sobre cuestiones importantes. Llevaba en una bolsa la colecci\u00f3n discogr\u00e1fica <i>Grandes cl\u00e1sicos del cante flamenco<\/i>, de EMI, que hab\u00eda hecho el letrista <strong>Pepe Carrasco<\/strong>. Mairena se interes\u00f3 por esos discos y se los ense\u00f1\u00e9. De los diez, solo le interesaron dos: los de <strong>Manuel Torres<\/strong> y el <strong>Ni\u00f1o Gloria<\/strong>, gitanos los dos. A los dem\u00e1s no solo no les ech\u00f3 cuenta, sino que los fue apartando con cierto desinter\u00e9s. Entre ellos estaban los de <strong>Chac\u00f3n, Vallejo, El Carbonerillo<\/strong> y <strong>Cepero<\/strong>, entre otros. Aquello me doli\u00f3, porque yo lloraba escuchando al Carbonerillo y a Cepero, pero el genio gitano me dio a entender que eso era un flamenco menor, otra cosa. Mairena me manipul\u00f3 y desde ese mismo d\u00eda me convert\u00ed en disidente del mairenismo, aunque nunca he dejado de amar a un cantaor que para m\u00ed fue y es a\u00fan fundamental. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"ES\">A\u00f1os m\u00e1s tarde conoc\u00ed personalmente a otro gran maestro, Enrique Morente, en Madrid, cantaor al que adoraba tambi\u00e9n. Nos fuimos de copas por la capital de Espa\u00f1a, me present\u00f3 a grandes artistas y estuvimos toda la noche hablando de Chac\u00f3n, de Mairena, de <strong>Juan Talega<\/strong>, de <strong>Marchena<\/strong>, de <strong>Pastora<\/strong>, de <strong>Matrona<\/strong>, de <strong>Caracol<\/strong> y de <strong>Tom\u00e1s<\/strong>. Menos de \u00e9l, hablamos de todos los grandes. Y en ning\u00fan momento intent\u00f3 manipularme, sino al contrario: respet\u00f3 siempre mis opiniones y me hizo saber lo importante que era, si me dedicaba a la cr\u00edtica, que tuviera mi propio criterio y que lo defendiera siempre a capa y espada. Si ya era morentista antes de tratarlo personalmente, a partir de esa noche lo fui mucho m\u00e1s, porque don Enrique me abri\u00f3 los ojos y muchas ventanas por las que mirar el cante, el flamenco en general. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"ES\">Cuento todo esto porque creo que es determinante la relaci\u00f3n que hayamos tenido con los artistas, con determinados maestros que elegimos como referencias. Siempre, claro est\u00e1, que esa relaci\u00f3n no te convierta en un fan del artista y condicione tu objetividad a la hora de analizar a ese o a otros maestros. En mi caso, confieso que llegu\u00e9 a perder la independencia, primero con Mairena, con cuyos postulados acab\u00e9 en total desacuerdo, y luego con Morente, al que sigo admirando como el gran artista que fue, para m\u00ed uno de los genios del cante flamenco. \u00c9l fue, por ejemplo, quien me hizo entender lo grande que era <strong>Camar\u00f3n<\/strong>, su primer rival en los escenarios, aunque era tambi\u00e9n su primer admirador. <\/span><span lang=\"ES\">Mairena y Morente, cada uno por cosas distintas, contribuyeron a formar mi personalidad como cr\u00edtico y, por qu\u00e9 no, tambi\u00e9n como aficionado al cante jondo.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cada uno por cosas distintas, Antonio Mairena y Enrique Morente contribuyeron a formar mi personalidad como cr\u00edtico y, por qu\u00e9 no, tambi\u00e9n como aficionado al cante jondo.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":6,"featured_media":12638,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"ngg_post_thumbnail":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[122],"tags":[156,204,1276,76],"class_list":["post-12634","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-bordonazo","tag-antonio-mairena","tag-enrique-morente","tag-critico-flamenco","tag-flamenco"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.4 -
