It was a production in the folkloric and classic mold, showing the journey of a woman emotionally committed to flamenco in the middle of the 20th century, who died in a mental hospital in her city. The message in this tribute to that illustrious artist from M\u00e1laga was rather empty, and its best moments were baile in its own right, such as the tangos, for example. The appearance of Miguel Poveda on stage was an unexpected surprise. Mar\u00eda Terremoto also made an appearance, performing an outstanding saeta, adding class to this production.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The company Flamenconautas also performed in that same venue on Tuesday, leaving the public very satisfied. Titled \u201cVamo\u2019 all\u00e1\u201d, the show set up by the three entrepreneurs and artists Javier Latorre, Shoji Kojima y Paco L\u00f3pez put on stage bailaores that had been selected around the world in a period of several months. The whole cast was quite enjoyable, with a consistently elegant and subtle choreography, featuring truly brilliant moments.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3471\" src=\"https:\/\/www.expoflamenco.com\/archivo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/javierfergo-flamenconautas-016.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"537\" height=\"358\" srcset=\"https:\/\/expoflamenco.com\/archivo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/javierfergo-flamenconautas-016.jpg 537w, https:\/\/expoflamenco.com\/archivo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/javierfergo-flamenconautas-016-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/expoflamenco.com\/archivo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/javierfergo-flamenconautas-016-128x86.jpg 128w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 537px) 100vw, 537px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>One of the stellar moments in this festival has been Mar\u00eda Terremoto\u2019s recital presenting \u201cRa\u00edces\u201d at the Gonz\u00e1lez Byass venue. There was expectation, crowned with great success. Mar\u00eda was outstanding por sole\u00e1, fandangos and seguiriyas, without neglecting her more rhythmical side por tangos and buler\u00edas. She invited the young cantaores from her Jerez hometown Rafael del Zambo, Enrique Remache and Manuel de la Nina, showing that there is hope for the future of cante in Jerez. Nano Jero, playing the guitar, was outstanding.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3472\" src=\"https:\/\/www.expoflamenco.com\/archivo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/javierfergo-mariaterremoto-005.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"527\" height=\"351\" srcset=\"https:\/\/expoflamenco.com\/archivo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/javierfergo-mariaterremoto-005.jpg 527w, https:\/\/expoflamenco.com\/archivo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/javierfergo-mariaterremoto-005-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/expoflamenco.com\/archivo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/javierfergo-mariaterremoto-005-128x86.jpg 128w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 527px) 100vw, 527px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In that same stage \u2018La Tremendita\u2019 performed on Sunday afternoon. There were mixed opinions regarding the message of her show \u201cDelirium Tremens\u201d, a personal discourse blending the most traditional flamenco with the instrumental effects of her electric bass and other elements from different genres.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3473\" src=\"https:\/\/www.expoflamenco.com\/archivo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/javierfergo-tremendita-005b.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"516\" height=\"344\" srcset=\"https:\/\/expoflamenco.com\/archivo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/javierfergo-tremendita-005b.jpg 516w, https:\/\/expoflamenco.com\/archivo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/javierfergo-tremendita-005b-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/expoflamenco.com\/archivo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/javierfergo-tremendita-005b-128x86.jpg 128w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 516px) 100vw, 516px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Within the musical aspect of this festival, we must highlight Diego Villegas, who debuted \u201cBajo de Gu\u00eda\u201d at the Sala Pa\u00fal. We left the venue very satisfied with his musical gift of buler\u00edas, sole\u00e1 and copla. He was joined by the bailaora Mar\u00eda Moreno (from C\u00e1diz), who displayed maturity in her increasingly admired style. We cannot forget the performance of Luc\u00eda \u00c1lvarez \u2018La Pi\u00f1ona\u2019, one of the most outstanding events so far. Bailando Flamenco\u201d.
