Fourteen years after their breakup, the brothers <strong>Juan Jos\u00e9\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Antonio Carmona<\/strong>, and their cousin <strong>Josemi <\/strong>are again in charge of the band which was without a doubt the most representative of the so-called <em>Flamenco Fusi\u00f3n <\/em>or <em>Nuevo Flamenco<\/em>. As they themselves confirmed in a recent press conference, what prompted their reunification was the very serious illness that Antonio happily overcame a few months ago. The cause was eagerness to get back together. The reason was that \u201cwe\u2019re not crazy, we got together because we wanted to\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The first visible result of their return to the music scene is the relaunch of their sixth album, <strong><em>De ak\u00ed a Ketama<\/em><\/strong><em>\u00a0<\/em>(Universal, 1995), which was awarded a <em>Premio Ondas\u00a0<\/em>for best album of the year. More than one million copies were, sold, something impossible in our days. It was a live album with an unparalleled band and an unmatched cast of contributing artists, such as the <em>bailaor<\/em><strong>Antonio Canales\u00a0<\/strong>and the greatly missed <strong>Antonio Flores\u00a0<\/strong>and <strong>Antonio Vega<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The album has been totally remastered with new arrangements and the participation of <strong>Pablo Albor\u00e1n <\/strong>in\u00a0<em>El problema,\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0<strong>Jorge Drexler <\/strong>in <em>Vente pa Madrid<\/em>. It also includes a song by <strong>Antonio Vega<\/strong>, <em>\u00c1ngel ca\u00eddo<\/em>. The single chosen for its presentation was the new track <em>Loko de amor<\/em>, written by <strong>Rub\u00e9n Rada<\/strong>. For this relaunch, the three members of the Habichuela clan chose the Universal studios on the mythical Abbey Road in London. <em>De ak\u00ed a Ketama Ed.
