Maybe it\u2019s a new flamenco that we must learn how to appreciate, but at this point in time, that\u2019s not flamenco. Yet, it\u2019s not only that it\u2019s not flamenco, but that girl doesn\u2019t posses skill or talent for flamenco, that\u2019s why she sings something else, a kind of ballad, or\u00a0<i>cante-ballad<\/i>. Yet, don\u2019t forget that when\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.expoflamenco.net\/#!Antonio-Chac%C3%B3n\/c112t\/56771a790cf28854b38dc92e\">Chac\u00f3n<\/a>\u00a0started singing his malague\u00f1as, the old aficionados would say that it wasn\u2019t flamenco, either.<\/p>\n<p><b>-What\u2019s your point, grandpa?<\/b><\/p>\n<p>-My point is what you just heard. It could have got ugly in that performance at the Villamarta theater on March 10!<\/p>\n<p><b>-Grandpa, did that kind of things happen in your days?<\/b><\/p>\n<p>-Sure they did. Eighty years ago, flamenco artists would fight each other and sometimes would end up in the hospital, in jail or in the cemetery, because they carried knives and guns, and whoever carries those things means to use them at any time. Flamencos are hot-blooded, Manolito. That\u2019s the thing.<\/p>\n<p><b>-You mean, violent?\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p>-No, I said hot-blooded.
