Jerez de la Frontera \u2014 one of the cradles of flamenco, located in the C\u00e1diz province of Andalusia \u2014 has been chosen to host the snazzy Espacio ExpoFlamenco<\/em><\/strong>. The opening ceremony of this new project took place on November 24th<\/sup>, with Tom\u00e1s de Perrate, Alfredo Lagos and Leonor Leal performing as invited artists.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Espacio ExpoFlamenco<\/em> is located in a privileged area of Jerez rich in flamenco tradition, on Diego Fern\u00e1ndez Herrera Street, across the D\u00edez M\u00e9rito<\/strong> winery. The official opening is on Friday, November 25th<\/sup>, the operating hours being 9:30 AM \u2013 1:30 PM \/ 5:30 PM \u2013 8:30 PM from Monday to Friday, and 9:00 AM \u2013 2:00 PM on Saturdays.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

This new venue features a shop offering high-quality flamenco products suitable for every budget: vinyl records, old books, a good selection of flamenco shoes, t-shirts and plenty of souvenirs and collectibles, always having flamenco as the main focus.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Besides, it hosts a gallery and a perfectly conditioned and sound-proofed stage, ideal for presentations of new albums and books, live performances and master classes of guitar, baile and cante.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The MC in the opening ceremony was Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Casta\u00f1o<\/a> \u2014 contributor of ExpoFlamenco, where he hosts an excellent podcast series \u2014 who highlighted the concept of adding a physical space to the great work already undertaken by the ExpoFlamenco.com website. Casta\u00f1o\u2019s words were followed by a performance featuring maestro<\/em> Alfredo Lagos<\/strong> at the guitar, Tom\u00e1s de Perrate<\/strong> in cante<\/em> and bailaora<\/em> Leonor Leal<\/strong> offering an artistic illustration with her baile<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u00abWe want both locals and foreigners to visit this venue, a place where they can feel as in their own home. Besides, we wish to promote unity among all flamenco artists. Not just by giving them the opportunity to meet and know each other, but by enabling the creation of collaborative networks, the discussion of new projects and the development of new opportunities\u00bb, continued Jafelin.<\/p>\n

\u00abWe wanted to have a different type of venue. We took over this location in February and we have carefully looked after every detail. It is a small space, but it has a huge audience. We are betting on streaming services, and this can be a fantastic opportunity\u00bb, explained Mitch Helten<\/strong>, founder and owner of ExpoFlamenco.<\/p>\n

So now you know. In Jerez, on Diego Fern\u00e1ndez Herrera Street, there is a corner with an intense flamenco flavor. It is called Espacio ExpoFlamenco<\/em><\/strong>, a little piece of the world\u2019s flamenco heart.<\/p>\n
