Flamenco is much more than a musical genre. It is a lifestyle. It has existed for centuries, but it became officially global on November, 16<sup>th<\/sup>, 2010, when it was declared Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO.<\/p>\n<p>It is not surprising then, that foreigners from all over the world dream about coming to Spain and enjoy flamenco in all its glory. While flamenco has crossed all boundaries and does not belong to any particular country, the fact is that the cradle of this noble art form is in Spain.<\/p>\n<p>That is why a research group from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uco.es\/\">University of Cordoba<\/a>\u00a0focusing on <strong>Tourism Economy<\/strong> is preparing an in-depth report showing the unbreakable link between tourism and flamenco.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u00abThe group from the University of Cordoba asks for five minutes of your time to fill an eighteen-question survey, <\/em><em>regarding topics ranging from your musical tastes to the feelings you experience when listening to flamenco\u00bb<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>\u00abWe are currently undertaking a research studying the relationship between flamenco and tourism in Spain with the goal of knowing the opinions, motivations and perceptions of travelers, both local and foreign\u00bb, explains <strong>Luc\u00eda Garc\u00eda<\/strong>, one of the researchers in charge of the study.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abThus, we are doing a field work based on a totally anonymous survey to know the tourists\u2019 opinions. The methodology used to create this survey is based on several scientific articles about this field\u00bb, said Garc\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p>To take part in the survey, the research group is only asking for five minutes of your time to answer a total of eighteen questions, regarding topics ranging from your musical tastes to the feelings you experience when listening to flamenco.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abThe results obtained with this research will be exclusively used to be presented to the scientific community through articles and scientific publications and to elaborate a report that will be freely available for anyone who wishes to see it\u00bb, concluded Luc\u00eda Garc\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p>Flamenco is an essential part of tourism in Spain, particularly in Andalusia.
