Thus, the Bienal, according to the current prognosis, is sticking to its initial schedule, despite the changes to the city\u2019s cultural agenda prompted by the state of emergency declared by the COVID-19 health crisis. As in its previous editions, the festival will offer a rich, extensive and diverse program coordinated by <strong>Antonio Zoido<\/strong>\u00a0which will include both seasoned, renowned flamenco stars and emerging artists who will have an opportunity to showcase their talent before a national and international audience.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>According to the current prognosis, the Bienal is sticking to its initial schedule. As in its previous editions, the festival will offer a rich, extensive and diverse program <\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The Urban Habitat, Culture and Tourism delegate, <strong>Antonio Mu\u00f1oz<\/strong>, highlighted the importance of the Bienal as part of the city\u2019s identity, not just due to the high artistic quality showcased year after year, but also due to the national and international renown that makes this event a first-rate promoter of Seville\u2019s culture and tourism. In these troubled times, the festival could also become a key piece in reactivating the city after the current state of emergency is over. \u201cCulture, and the Bienal as one of its leading exponents, is part of the identity of our city, which is being hit hard by the serious health crisis created by the COVID-19 pandemic. The goal of the municipality is to make all efforts to enable <strong>businesses, cultural agents and artists<\/strong> to recover from the consequences of this pandemic as soon as possible. In order to achieve this, it\u2019s essential to keep prioritizing the <em>Bienal de Flamenco <\/em>in the re-programing of the city\u2019s cultural events\u201d, explained Antonio Mu\u00f1oz, who also pointed out that the flamenco artists taking part in the Bienal are a key element in the promotion of Seville, Andalusia and Spain and the festival is also vital for supporting and showcasing the artists\u2019 work on stage.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe flamenco artists and art companies involved with the Bienal need this festival for material and emotional reasons as a launching pad for their creations. Thus, from Seville\u2019s City Council we want to announce that, despite the uncertain outlook of the health crisis we\u2019re currently experiencing, the Bienal is planning to celebrate its 21<sup>st<\/sup> edition as scheduled\u201d, continued Mu\u00f1oz.
