Ever since ExpoFlamenco Jerez Shop<\/a>\u00a0opened in the heart of Jerez de la Frontera in the autumn of 2019, it has become a special place for flamenco lovers, not only for being a reference in the flamenco scene, but also for its many exhibitions, events and occasional live performances. In this regard, on Wednesday, February 19th<\/sup> at 1 PM, this shop on number 2, Corredera Street will host the round table Festival de Jerez: un cuarto de siglo <\/em><\/strong>\u00a0(\u201cFestival de Jerez: 25 Years\u201d<\/em>). Admittance is free.<\/p>\n

The event will be attended by Isamay Benavente<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 director of the Festival de Jerez<\/a> <\/em>\u2014 and by critics and flamencologists such as Manuel Boh\u00f3rquez, Estela Zatania<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Juan Garrido<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 from ExpoFlamenco editorial team \u2014 and Fran Pereira<\/strong>, Diario de Jerez<\/em> journalist. The topic of this round table will be about the Festival de Jerez<\/a><\/em>, its history and its role in contemporary flamenco. \u00abNext year, this festival will celebrate its 25th anniversary and now it\u2019s a good time to analyse its evolution\u00bb, states Boh\u00f3rquez, who will be the moderator. \u00abAt the beginning, the people of Jerez were not very fond of it, but it has become established as a great event in the world of flamenco, as can be attested by the multitude of people who come to experience it, with many foreign aficionados among them\u00bb.<\/p>\n

Besides those mentioned above, the artists Javier Patino<\/strong>, who performed at the 30th<\/sup> Festival de N\u00eemes<\/em><\/a>, bailaora<\/em>\u00a0Mar\u00eda del Mar Moreno<\/strong>\u00a0and the celebrated cantaora<\/em> from Sanl\u00facar Mar\u00eda Vargas<\/strong> will also participate in the round table.<\/p>\n
