She passed away in 1969, but her legacy endures in her celebrated <em>seguiriyas, tangos, peteneras, buler\u00edas <\/em>and<em> sole\u00e1s<\/em>. The filming of a documentary featuring the life and career of this essential artist of <em>cante flamenco<\/em> has just started.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Casa del Aire<\/em><\/strong>, a heritage building located in Arahal \u2014 the town in Seville province where Pastora\u2019s mother was from \u2014 is one of the sets where the documentary is being filmed, under the direction of <strong>Pedro Calleja<\/strong>\u00a0and produced by <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tesela.pro\/\">Tesela Producciones<\/a><\/em>. \u00a0Besides, our dear <strong>Manuel Boh\u00f3rquez<\/strong> \u2014 author of Ni\u00f1a de los Peines\u2019 biography \u2014 is an advisor for the documentary. \u00a0Indeed, Boh\u00f3rquez \u2014 also born in Arahal \u2014 was recently interviewed at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/museomujerflamenco\">Museum of Flamenco Women<\/a>\u00a0regarding all he has researched about Pastora and her family.<\/p>\n<p>Never before has a documentary about Ni\u00f1a de los Peines been filmed for TV, stated the director. The film is meant to be broadcast by Andalusia\u2019s public TV channel, <em>Canal Sur<\/em>, having an estimated length of approximately seventy minutes. The reel will be handed over to <em>Canal Sur<\/em> this summer, although there isn\u2019t a specific date for its broadcast yet.<\/p>\n<p>Besides <em>Casa del Aire<\/em>, this documentary has also been shot in sets at the Museum of Flamenco Women and at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.casadelamemoria.es\/\">Casa de la Memoria<\/a>.
