The prestigious Centre Solea<\/a> in Marseille, France, will hold the second edition of Festival Flamenco Azul<\/a>\u00a0from April 17th<\/sup> to May 10th<\/sup>, 2020 in Marseille, France\u2019s second largest city. It will be a spring with an explosion of flamenco in the form of shows, courses, conferences and master classes for all types of public and for all tastes. Fifty different artists will be in charge of taking their flamenco art to fifteen different venues in Marseille, Aix-en-Provence, Toulon and Digne-les-Bains.<\/p>\n

The 2020 program will feature, among other artists, Kuki Santiago & La Nime\u00f1a<\/strong>\u00a0(April 17th<\/sup> and 18th<\/sup>, Centre Solea),\u00a0Miguel El Rubio & Laura Santamar\u00eda<\/strong>\u00a0(April 23rd<\/sup>, La Friche la Belle de Mai),\u00a0Jos\u00e9 del Tomate<\/strong>\u00a0(April 24th<\/sup>, La Friche la Belle de Mai),\u00a0Ana Morales<\/strong>\u00a0(April 25th<\/sup>, Th\u00e9atre Toursky),\u00a0B\u00e1n\u00e9 Ndiaye & Jos\u00e9 Manuel \u00c1lvarez<\/strong>\u00a0(April 26th<\/sup>, Palais de la Bourse),\u00a0Paloma Pradal<\/strong>\u00a0(April 30th<\/sup>, Centre Ren\u00e9 Char Digne-les-Bains),\u00a0Iv\u00e1n Vargas<\/strong>\u00a0(May 3rd<\/sup>, Espace Comedia \u00e0 Toulon),\u00a0Ana P\u00e9rez<\/strong>\u00a0(May 7th<\/sup>, Th\u00e9atre des Bernardines) and\u00a0Luis de la Carrasca<\/strong>\u00a0(May 9th<\/sup>, Cit\u00e9 de la Musique). Besides, master classes by Jos\u00e9 Manuel \u00c1lvarez,\u00a0Juanma Cort\u00e9s<\/strong>\u00a0and Mar\u00eda P\u00e9rez will take place from April 21st<\/sup> to April 24th<\/sup> at Centre Solea itself.<\/p>\n

Centre Solea is a flamenco institution located in Marseille, France. It\u2019s an ambitious project in collaboration with Escuela de Flamenco de Andaluc\u00eda<\/em> (EFA), Arts et Musiques en Provence<\/em> and the Bienal de M\u00e1laga<\/em>, and it has the support of the Provence sur-Alpes-C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur region, the Bouches-du-Rh\u00f4ne department and the city of Marseille, where the second edition of Festival Internacional Flamenco Azul <\/em>will take place.<\/p>\n

The goal of the organizers is to showcase flamenco in all its forms. They\u2019ve asked their followers to be patient, vowing to be \u00abcommitted to a high-quality program\u00bb. Little by little the second edition of Flamenco Azul is taking shape, and besides de round of shows it will also feature a study meeting at the university, animations, training courses and open stages for all aficionados.<\/p>\n

Festival Flamenco Azul 2019<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The first edition of Festival Flamenco Azul<\/em> featured multiple activities, such as the master classes taught by El Choro<\/strong>, Jes\u00fas de la Manuela, Juan-Luis Fern\u00e1ndez and Mar\u00eda P\u00e9rez; Juan Coca\u2019s photographic exhibition and the screening of Carlos Saura<\/strong>\u2018s documentary Flamenco Flamenco<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The festival aslo featured performances by guitarist Paco Santiago, cantaor Jos\u00e9 Boleco, Argelian musician Meryem Koufi, bailaor Mois\u00e9s Navarro, plus Roc\u00edo Molina\u2019s show and the production Andando por Sole\u00e1<\/em>, featuring Carmen Ledesma, Gema Moreo, Hugo L\u00f3pez and Rafael de Carmen.<\/p>\n
