The <\/span><b>Triana Flamenco Theater <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">was the stage for the joint announcement by the<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uloyola.es\/\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Loyola Andaluc\u00eda University<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and the<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flamencoheeren.com\/es\/\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cristina Heeren Flamenco Art Foundation<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. As of January 2020, future <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">bailaores<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">bailaoras<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will be able to add a university title to their training, with the pioneering <\/span><b><i>Diploma of Specialization in Baile Flamenco<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The program has been jointly designed by both organizations. The courses have total of 30 ECTS credits, distributed in a block of mandatory classes (27 ECTS) plus an elective (3 ECTS). This course is intended either for people with a university degree or for students of a university degree ora\u00a0 postgraduate degree. Holders and students of a Higher Education Title in Music or Dance will also be able to take this course. The model for this program is the <\/span><b>University of San Francisco\u2019s <\/b><b><i>Major in Performing Arts and Social Justice<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The presentation was in charge of representatives of Loyola University, <\/span><b>Cristina Heeren <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">herself and <\/span><b>Pepa S\u00e1nchez<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, academic director of the Foundation. <\/span><b>Antonio Zoido<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, director of Seville\u2019s <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bienal de Flamenco<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, attended as special guest. According to the press release, \u00abthis program is intended for students with knowledge of <em>baile<\/em> and movement who seek to learn and execute specific techniques of <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">baile flamenco<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, with special emphasis on the Seville school, which requires the study of <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">bata de cola<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 and other accessories, such as the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">mant\u00f3n<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">abanico<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and castanets\u00bb.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The theoretical lessons will be taught at the Seville Campus of the Loyola University, located in the neighboring town of Dos Hermanas, while practical lessons will take place at the Foundation building. The Foundation which will also provide the instructors, such as <\/span><b>Javier Bar\u00f3n<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>Milagros Meng\u00edbar<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>Luisa Palicio<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>Carmelilla Montoya<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>Beatriz Rivero<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and Antonio Molina <\/span><b><i>El Choro<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
