The third edition of the Festival Latidos Flamencos<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0(Flamenco Beats Festival<\/em>) is up and running. The Centro Flamenco Fosforito<\/a>\u00a0will once again hold this even at Potro Square, in C\u00f3rdoba, on August 22nd<\/sup> and 29th<\/sup>, 2019. As usual, this series is dedicated to musical instruments other than the traditional flamenco guitar. For the current edition, the invited artists are the saxophonist Juan Diego S\u00e1ez<\/strong>, from C\u00f3rdoba, and the pianist Laura de los \u00c1ngeles<\/strong>, from Seville<\/p>\n

The instrumentalist of Fern\u00e1n N\u00fa\u00f1ez will be in charge of opening this series on Thursday, August 22nd<\/sup>, at 10 PM. In his concert, Juan Diego S\u00e1ez will explore his deep roots in flamenco, evoking artists of the stature of Camar\u00f3n, Paco de Luc\u00eda, Enrique Morente and Pepe Marchena with his show Origen<\/em>. This saxophonist adds a very personal touch where flamenco is infused with nuances of jazz and contemporary music.<\/p>\n

In this occasion, Juan Diego S\u00e1ez<\/strong> will be joined on stage by Bernardo Miranda<\/strong> in cante, Juan Mar\u00edn El Juani <\/em><\/strong>on the guitar,\u00a0Juanma Ruiz<\/strong> on bass, Miguel Santiago<\/strong> on percussion and Yolanda Osuna,<\/strong> from C\u00f3rdoba, in baile.<\/p>\n

The following date is Thursday, August 29th<\/sup>, also at 10 PM. The pianist Laura de los \u00c1ngeles will add her voice and music to her show Mar de Esperanza <\/em>(Sea of Hope<\/em>), which features a fusion of flamenco with other musical genres from around the world.<\/p>\n

De los \u00c1ngeles will be joined on stage by Andr\u00e9s Malpica<\/strong> in baile, Iv\u00e1n Cueto <\/strong>in the battery and percussion, Nolo Ruiz <\/strong>with the electric bass,\u00a0Jes\u00fas Fern\u00e1ndez <\/strong>with the transverse flute and the saxophone, and Manu L\u00f3pez<\/strong> with the violoncello.<\/p>\n

Latidos Flamencos thus becomes established as a pioneering musical series which highlights the importance of different composers and instrumentalists who focus on instruments other than flamenco guitar. In just three years, this event has been able to gather some of the best instrumentalist in flamenco with a very appealing program.<\/p>\n

Admission to the concerts is free until full capacity is reached.<\/p>\n
