Particularly those who, for various circumstances, do not perform regularly in the well-established summer festivals, international flamenco events or important contests, but without a doubt have more to tell, or sing, than many of those in our days who perform on stages for good money.<\/p>\n<p>The world of flamenco should support its own, old-time artists, without closing the door to the intense and promising new generations. It should find a way to reengage these unique artists who posses wisdom derived from their incomparable life experiences which defined the forms and the aesthetic of times past.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u00abWe should find a way so we won\u2019t later regret not having enjoyed the later years of some artists\u00bb<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>As an example we have <strong>Luis \u2018El Zambo\u2019<\/strong>. He should perform at least once a year in Jerez, so the new aficionados and emerging artists don\u2019t forget how to sing that city\u2019s <em>buler\u00eda pa\u2019 escuchar<\/em>. That <em>buler\u00eda<\/em> which <strong>Manuel Soto \u2018Sordera\u2019<\/strong>\u00a0performed like no one else, taking the day-to-day sounds of the Santiago district and the labourer\u2019s farmhouses to the stages. <strong>T\u00edo Enrique Manuel, T\u00edo Paulera<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Isabelita de Jerez<\/strong> herself come to mind. Luis should make an appearance in some of the city\u2019s <em>pe\u00f1as<\/em>, at the <em>Fiesta de la Buler\u00eda<\/em>, at the <em>Viernes Flamencos<\/em> series or at some other event of this kind through the year. The same goes for others such as <strong>T\u00eda Juana la del Pipa, Lorenzo G\u00e1lvez \u2018Ripoll\u2019<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Mateo Sole\u00e1<\/strong>. It doesn\u2019t have to be a big event, but people should have the opportunity to listen to them, even if it\u2019s just talking.<\/p>\n<p>The same happens in C\u00e1diz with <strong>Juan Villar<\/strong>\u00a0o\u00a0<strong>Rancapino<\/strong>\u00a0(from Chiclana), or in Lebrija with <strong>In\u00e9s Bac\u00e1n<\/strong>, in Utrera with <strong>Diego \u2018El Cabrillero\u2019<\/strong> or in M\u00e1laga with <strong>La Ca\u00f1eta<\/strong>. These are artists with charisma and a deep knowledge of this culture and they should be its protagonists with their performances. Not for a recital featuring eight styles, but for listening to them in a free format, without method or protocol. We should find a way so we won\u2019t later regret not having enjoyed the later years of some artists, living off nostalgia, knowing those artists didn\u2019t have enough support.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><span style=\"font-size: xx-small;\">Translated by P.
