Opening on April 3<sup>rd<\/sup>, the festival is now more than halfway through its program. Let\u2019s remember that its closing date is September 14<sup>th<\/sup> at the Cervantes Theater.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2015, the Bienal has adopted a format which aims to encompass as much time as possible, seeking to offer plenty of flamenco shows during the high season, as demanded by the tourist industry. Likewise, its venues are spread far and wide in the province, particularly along the <em>Costa del Sol.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The month of July will have a dazzling ending with top-notch shows. On Friday the 26<sup>th<\/sup>, the <em>cantaores<\/em> <strong>Antonio Reyes<\/strong>, <strong>Jos\u00e9 Canela<\/strong>, <strong>Perico el Pa\u00f1ero<\/strong>\u00a0and the <em>bailaora<\/em> <strong>Patricia Vald\u00e9s<\/strong>\u00a0will raise the bar at the Co\u00edn Rock Caves, in the hills of M\u00e1laga. With the title <em>El cante por derecho<\/em>, they\u2019ll be joined by the guitars of de\u00a0<strong>Rub\u00e9n Lara<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Joselito de Pura<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Miguel Salado\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Nono Reyes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The following day, Saturday the 27<sup>th<\/sup>, the captivating show <em>Baluarte flamenco<\/em> will take place in the municipal auditorium <em>Finca El Port\u00f3n<\/em>, in Alhaur\u00edn de la Torre, featuring the <em>cante<\/em> of\u00a0<strong>Lela Soto<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Samuel Serrano\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Israel Fern\u00e1ndez<\/strong>, the <em>toque<\/em> of <strong>Paco Le\u00f3n\u00a0<\/strong>and <strong>Manuel Parrilla<\/strong> and the <em>baile<\/em> of <strong>Gema Moneo<\/strong>, from Jerez. The month ends on the 31<sup>st<\/sup> with Wednesday\u2019s usual event in the terrace of the Hotel AC M\u00e1laga Palacio. The series is titled <em>Flamenco de altura<\/em>, where the cante of <strong>Chelo Soto\u00a0<\/strong>and the guitar of <strong>Antonio Soto<\/strong> can be enjoyed.<\/p>\n<p>The first weekend in August will feature the performance of the<em> bailaora<\/em> <strong>Ana Pastrana\u00a0<\/strong>and her company. This will happen on Friday, August 2nd, at Bernardo de G\u00e1lvez square in the town of Macharaviaya, in the province of M\u00e1laga. And on Saturday, August 3<sup>rd<\/sup>, in El Rinc\u00f3n de la Victoria, the 28<sup>th<\/sup> <strong>Festival de Flamenco Puerta de la Axarqu\u00eda <\/strong>will take place, having as its title <em>Los Festeros<\/em>. The lineup is made of <strong>Mari Pe\u00f1a<\/strong> in <em>cante<\/em>;\u00a0<strong>Remedios Reyes<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Jos\u00e9 Pa\u00f1ero<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Javier Heredia\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Luis Pe\u00f1a<\/strong>, in \u00ab<em>cante<\/em> and <em>baile<\/em>\u00bb, joined by the guitars of <strong>Antonio Moya<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Chaparro<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Domingo Rubichi\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Luis el Salao<\/strong>, plus the <em>baile<\/em> of\u00a0<strong>Juan Garrido\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Luisa Chicano<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>July will end in spectacular fashion.
