The festival then confirms its status as one of the most important platforms for the promotion of flamenco in the international scene and the biggest flamenco festival outside of Spain by number of performances and shows.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Ballet Flamenco de Sara Baras\u00a0<\/strong>said farewell to flamenco after a triumphant week at the Sadler\u2019s Wells Theatre, where its production Sombras was seen by a total of 7,500 people. The shows of <strong>Rosario La Tremendita<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>La Shica<\/strong>\u00a0completed the evening with <em>Women at the edge<\/em>\u00a0at the el Rich Mix, while <strong>Amir El Saffar<\/strong>\u00a0performed <em>Luminiscencia<\/em>\u00a0at the Lilian Baylis Studio. Diego Villegas and Flamenco Abierto performed at the Cervantes Theater on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>After Sara Baras&#8217; farewell, other great artist of flamenco dance will come to London. On July 9<sup>th<\/sup> at Sadler\u2019s Wells, \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.flamencofestival.org\/artistas\/rocio-molina\/\"><strong>Roc\u00edo Molina<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0will perform her imposing production <em>Ca\u00edda del cielo<\/em>, where this bailaora from M\u00e1laga will break tear down flamenco boundaries and use her body as a vehicle for unbridled emotion, exploring her gender, sexuality and flamenco itself, supported by the basic sounds of guitar, <em>caj\u00f3n<\/em> and <em>palmas<\/em>. <em>Ca\u00edda del Cielo<\/em> essentially is a free collision of flamenco with other conceptions of the stage and other forms of expression. Summarizing, this production is a trip or descent of a woman from a balanced body into a body that celebrates womanhood, immersed in the tragic sense of partying.<\/p>\n<p>On July 11<sup>th<\/sup> at Sadler\u2019s Well, the innovation and unlimited strength of the bailaora <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flamencofestival.org\/artistas\/olga-pericet\/\"><strong>Olga Pericet<\/strong><\/a>, from C\u00f3rdoba, will be put on stage with the show <em>La espina que quiso ser flor o la flor que so\u00f1\u00f3 con ser bailaora<\/em>, which will be performed for the first time in the United Kingdom thanks to Flamenco Festival. Pericet once again sets in motion her stage laboratory to make, through theater and dance, \u00a0a show as poetic as its title.<\/p>\n<p>Dance performances at the Flamenco Festival London will be rounded up this week by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flamencofestival.org\/artistas\/patricia-guerrero\/\"><strong>Patricia Guerrero<\/strong><\/a><strong>,\u00a0<\/strong>who will present <em>Catedral<\/em>\u00a0on July 14<sup>th<\/sup>; <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flamencofestival.org\/artistas\/jesus-carmona-2\/\">Jes\u00fas Carmona<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>who will debut his London residency on July 13<sup>th<\/sup>; and <a href=\"http:\/\/manuellinan.com\/\"><strong>Manuel Li\u00f1an<\/strong><\/a>, who will perform on July 12<sup>th<\/sup> and July 13<sup>th<\/sup> on Sadler\u2019s Wells stage the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flamencofestival.org\/festivales\/espanol-ff-london-2019\/producciones\/gala-flamenca\/\"><strong>Gala Flamenca<\/strong><\/a> produced in 2019 by Flamenco Festival, a dialog among artists such as the bailaores Eduardo Guerrero, <strong>Mercedes Ruiz<\/strong> and <strong>Mar\u00eda Moreno<\/strong>, <em>cantaora<\/em> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flamencofestival.org\/artistas\/english-maria-terremoto\/\"><strong>Mar\u00eda Terremoto<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and guitarist <strong>Santiago Lara<\/strong>.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.flamencofestival.org\/artistas\/nanako-aramaki\/\"><strong>Nanako Aramaki<\/strong><\/a><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>completes the dance performances with her show <em>Obliqueffect<\/em>\u00a0on July 10<sup>th<\/sup> at the Rich Mix.<\/p>\n<p>On July 10<sup>th<\/sup> at the Sadler\u2019s Wells Theatre, Flamenco Festival London will premiere the show <strong><em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flamencofestival.org\/festivales\/espanol-ff-london-2019\/producciones\/flamenco-meets-jazz-copy-copy\/\">Flamenco meets jazz<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, performed by three exceptional artists known by breaking down musical barriers using elements of various genres in their innovative productions: the pianist <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flamencofestival.org\/artistas\/dorantes\/\"><strong>Dorantes<\/strong><\/a>, the Rolling Stones saxophonist <strong>Tim Ries <\/strong>and the multi-instrumentalist<strong>\u00a0Adam Ben Ezra.<\/strong>\u00a0The <em>bailaor<\/em> Jes\u00fas Carmona will perform as invited guest, as they tear down the barriers between jazz and flamenco and create bridges between styles, showing that flamenco can coexist with any culture. In this context, the creative energy of Dorantes freely defies, as it usually does, flamenco\u2019s conventional parameters, creating with virtuosity intelligent music loaded with flamenco truth and jazz evocation.<\/p>\n<p><em>Cante<\/em> at Festival Flamenco London will be represented on July 8<sup>th<\/sup> by de\u00a0<strong>Miguel Poveda<\/strong><strong>,\u00a0<\/strong>who is back at Sadler\u2019s Wells to perform one of his unforgettable flamenco recitals. On July 12<sup>th<\/sup>, at Lilian Baylis Studio, the Young <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flamencofestival.org\/artistas\/flamenco-ene-kiki-morente\/\"><strong>Kiki Morente<\/strong><\/a>, joined by <em>bailaora\u00a0<\/em>Irene Rueda, will present his album <em>Albayz\u00edn<\/em> for the first time in the United Kingdom, an album with new propositions honoring the patriarch Enrique Morente. Then, on July 13<sup>th<\/sup>, flamenco flautist <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flamencofestival.org\/artistas\/sergio-de-lope\/\"><strong>Sergio de Lope<\/strong><\/a><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>will present to the public of London his new album <em>Ser de Luz<\/em>. On July 12<sup>th<\/sup>, the guitarist\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flamencofestival.org\/artistas\/david-carmona\/\"><strong>David Carmona<\/strong><\/a>, an outstanding disciple of maestro Manolo Sanl\u00facar, will present one of the best flamenco productions of the last few years, within the series <em>Flamenco E\u00f1e<\/em> with the collaboration of <em>Fundaci\u00f3n SGAE<\/em>.
