This is the oldest <em>tablao<\/em> in the capital of Andalusia, having been opened in 1966 by Jos\u00e9 Luis N\u00fa\u00f1ez de Prado, from Madrid, married to a <em>catalana<\/em> from Puigcerd\u00e1. Nowadays it\u2019s their younger daughter <strong>Blanca N\u00fa\u00f1ez de Prado <\/strong>who has been leasing this venue for years.<\/p>\n<p>Two daily hour-and-a-half shows are performed at Los Gallos, featuring a ten-people ensemble (\u2018<em>cuadro<\/em>\u2019). The 35-euro admission includes basic food and drinks. The lineup this month is the following:<\/p>\n<p>Cante:\u00a0<strong>Juan Murube<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Ni\u00f1o de Gines\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Juan de la Mar\u00eda<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Guitar:\u00a0<strong>David Caro<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Jes\u00fas Rodr\u00edguez\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Jos\u00e9 P\u00e9rez<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Baile:\u00a0<strong>Rosario Toledo\u00a0<\/strong>(twice awarded C\u00f3rdoba\u2019s <em>Premio Nacional de Baile<\/em>),\u00a0<strong>Rafael Campallo\u00a0<\/strong>(awarded <em>El Desplante\u00a0<\/em>prize of <em>baile<\/em> at the <em>Festival de la Uni\u00f3n<\/em>),\u00a0<strong>Mercedes de C\u00f3rdoba\u00a0<\/strong>(awarded the <em>Premio Giraldillo al Baile\u00a0<\/em>at Seville&#8217;s <em>Bienal de Flamenco<\/em> and twice awarded C\u00f3rdoba\u2019s <em>Premio Nacional de Baile<\/em>),\u00a0<strong>Soraya Clavijo\u00a0<\/strong>(awarded C\u00f3rdoba\u2019s <em>Premio Nacional de Baile<\/em>),\u00a0<strong>M\u00f3nica Iglesias\u00a0<\/strong>(awarded <em>El Desplante\u00a0<\/em>prize of <em>baile<\/em> at the <em>Festival de la Uni\u00f3n<\/em>),\u00a0<strong>Paula Comitre<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Gloria del Rosario\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Sara Jim\u00e9nez<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>During the fifty-two years it has been opened, this tablao has featured the best artists of its day, from <em>cantaores<\/em> such as Antonio Mairena, Chocolate, Naranjito de Triana, Juan Pe\u00f1a el Lebrijano, Perla de C\u00e1diz and Paquera de Jerez to great masters of <em>baile <\/em>such as Farruco, Enrique el Cojo, Matilde Coral, Rafael el Negro, Merche Esmeralda, Pepa Montes and Cristina Hoyos. The formula has always been the same: traditional, non-commercial flamenco<\/p>\n<p><em>Tablao<\/em> Los Gallos is located at 11 Santa Cruz square in Seville, in the heart of the iconic Santa Cruz district.
