Farruquito and Riqueni at the Paris Flamenco Art Biennial
The fifth edition of Paris’ prestigious Flamenco Art Biennial is to be celebrated between the 3rd and 18th February 2022 at the Chaillot National Theatre, and will include artists like Paula Comitre, Rafaela Carrasco, David Coria or Farruquito, amongst others.
The eagerly awaited fifth edition of the Paris Flamenco Art Biennial is returning following its success in 2020. Twinned with the Seville Biennial, it is one of the most important jondo art events to take place outside of Spain. Every two years Paris organises the festival which cultivates an eclecticism and spirit of discovery, bringing together fans, enthusiasts and those simply intrigued by great performances.
This new edition will cleverly include a mixture of stars, such as key flamenco leaders from experimental branches. For example Paula Comitre and Florencia Oz, who are juxtaposed by illustrious performers of the purest dance and toque.
From 3rd-18th February 2022, the National Theatre of Chaillot will be dressed up ready to receive fans of flamenco and a handful of huge artists. Names found in the programme include Rafael Riqueni, Farruquito, Paula Comitre herself, Rafaela Carrasco, David Coria, Jann Gallois and Florencia Oz – an impressive line-up. Exhibitions about the flamenco world will also be displayed at the event.
