Promoting and supporting flamenco around the world: the ExpoFlamenco shop

On Monday, November 4th, the first ExpoFlamenco-branded shop will open in the heart of Jerez, selling flamenco products, collectibles and souvenirs for all types of public

Mitch and Jafelin, owners of our ExpoFlamenco website, will open on November 4th a great souvenir shop where flamenco will be the star. It’s located on Corredera street, next to Arenal Square, a two-minute walk from Tabanco El Pasaje and Bar Juanito, at the very heart of flamenco in Jerez. They couldn’t have picked a better location. We’ll promote flamenco collecting from our shop.

The opening ceremony will already feature some very valuable flamenco relics, but the idea is to establish the Day of Flamenco Collecting and also celebrate it in the ExpoFlamenco shop. That day, vintage posters, lyrics booklets, vinyl and slate records, photographs, postcards and many other flamenco collectibles will be on sale. We don’t know how many people will attend our opening, but we hope that both seasoned and aspiring collectors will come. Young people will have a great opportunity to get started in such an exciting adventure.

«ExpoFlamenco Jerez will be more than a shop: it will be a meeting point for flamenco lovers from Jerez and all over the world»

The store will also sell flamenco books, CDs, cajones, flamenco dresses, castanets, etc. Writers specializing in Andalusian art will have an important venue where they’ll be able to sell their books and even hold presentations of new releases in the shop itself, before aficionados, artists and media. The same goes for CDs of flamenco guitarists and cantaores. Because it will be more that a shop: it will be a meeting point for flamenco lovers from Jerez and all over the world.

Among the many projects in store, we plan to sell a very original biographical collectible set. We will address historical flamenco artists with the objectivity and professionalism they deserve, and we plan to include a minimum of one hundred biographies. The first editions will be about Antonio Chacón, Manuel Torres, Juan Mojama, Isabelita de Jerez, José Cepero, La Macarrona, La Malena and others. This collectible set will be available for sale in the store and on the internet.

Dreaming is never giving up life, and that’s what we’ll do. We’ll dream and strive for ExpoFlamenco to continue being a flamenco reference all over the world. To achieve this goal, we need your support.
